i think it looks good and i couldnt do near as good as that but you shouldve colored the fencing mask purple or blue im color blind

@gamefreak391 I had someone in a fencing club give us a nasty old one to slightly dismantle and use ^_^; So ours was free! But buying a new one prolly isn't cheap.

Hey, when you said sew did you mean sew the craft foam onto the mask? And how did you do that to where it would not move around and be set in place, especially the front of the mask?

aha! this is the trick...You take small squares of craft foam and sew it to the fencing mask...THEN you super glue the outside pieces to sewn craft foam so you don't see at thread! ^_^

craft foam fencing mask stretchy black material for the back (to stretch with the fencing mask to get it off) elmers glue black glossy spray paint (the resin didn't work for us, so you're on your own with that ^_^;) shrinkwrap (for the front) purple shrapie (to color shrinkwrap) needlw and thread to sew to fencing mask and super glue to glue together~ hope that helps! the resin was to make the craft foam shiny and more hard and plastic-like...but it didn't work for us ^_^; too humid :P

and yes, you can see through the colored shrink-wrap pretty well, but it's good to have a friend nearby to help you around to recognize ppl (you kinda see blurs of faces) ^_^;

Hmm How many days did this take you? My boyfriend is really upset because he cant find one anywhere. On the pursuit of a mask, maybe you guys could make one....that would be awesome you'd get payed well.

it took a week or two b/c of school and everything...ummm it's hard to locate a fencing mask that's cheap (we were veeeery lucky getting a free one) and one that fits your face. It's not that amazing to where I would make them and sell them...but all I can do is give advice and let people try and make it themselves~ sorry I couldn't be any help!

How did you make that mask? Trying to think of a cosplay for my bf but he wont shave and wont wear a wig. I wanted him to be Zero but have no idea how to make the mask.

the basis of this is a fencing mask and then we sewed pieces of thin craft foam to it in the shape of the helmet! The craft foam was painted with glue (as you can see in the video) and then sprayed with shiny black spray paint...the front of the mask was made from shrink wrap colored with sharpie...and that's it really! ^^;
