The girl at 0:07 who jumps pass the camera, wearing a purple bikini top and black shorts. The young one. Who is she? I've been looking for her for such a long time!
@emer8nica Hi my daughter is a competitive gymnast in massachusetts training at a very good gym for the area maybe not as intense as this gym, but anyways my husband might be relocating to Texas in the same area as Texas dreams and woga we were wondering how Texas dreams was or if you tried woga and whether or not you liked that. My daughter is 12 she is currently injured but this is her first year doing level 9 and pre-elite. we would really appreciate your response thanks!
wow thats really creative.. makes conditioning at least a little better! haha we kinda did the same thing.. our gym is close to a 7 11 so in the summer we run there outside and run up the hills and do lunges down and stuff like that.. haha so yeah! then we got like water and slushies from there then ran back(:
thats so cool that they get to switch it up everyonce in awhile & do something alittle bit fun! & they still get a good workout! Cuddo's to Kim for this! I think its a great idea!
I know all the gymnasts have been training for the majority of their lives, but on the off chance something happens that can't be prevented by how much skill you have, and in wet environments like pools, those handstands are dangerous. Maybe where I'm from (New Zealand) it's just 'cause it's not really allowed. Apart from that she is a fabulous gymnast.
Very good! I love your beam routine! its beautiful good luck at your new gym! Your going to be amazing! pray for my level 8 please and watch my videos to please!
@irvingnochez I'm glad you like the videos. This is the only conditioning video I have and I had to ask permission from the coach to post it. Hopefully, our coach will allow me to post more in the future. Take care!
@transamdepot1:03 she's in the line of girls facing the camera. Look for the red shorts. 1:08 she's on the back horsey thing doing the press to handstand. At the end of the video you can see her step down during their handstand holds by the pool edge.
@SlushieLuvr You do a tryout and the coaches decide what group you will train with. You don't have to be an elite to join the Dream Team. Nica is only Level 9, and there are a lot of younger girls in the Dream Team.
awesome montage. will show it to my girls (who are nowhere near that good, by the way) so they understand that gymnastics is an every day attitude. kudos on chris and kim for finding fun ways to work out :)
@greysrocks25 nica says hello to your girls. yes, chris and kim are known to create a fun atmosphere without sacrificing hard work. chris always teaches them the winning attitude.
Yaaaaay!!!! I love updates!!! I couldn't find Nica at first, until they were doing their handstands on the poolside, lol. That was the most unique way I've ever seen a gym conduct conditioning! That's awesome! :oD I'm sooooo looking forward to seeing her next competition!
very inventive way of conditioning! LoVe it! I'm so glad that the move was a success for Nica and things were a smooth transition for her. It can be scary moving and worrying about finding a gym/school/housing is a huge stressor. I'm glad that it all worked out great and Nica is thriving and having a great time with her new gym and team :) Can't wait to see more of her in the future - GO NICA!
@adadancer7 Thanks, Kasie! I'm not sure what level she'll be competing. She's learning some elite compulsary routines, but I think she'll be doing Level 10. It dependds how her training goes this Fall. No rush, Nica prefers to do Level 10 but we'll follow whatever her coaches tells her to do.
@emer8nica I'm glad you guys aren't rushing for level 10. I know things really pick up at the elite level (she does seem destined for it!), and lately I've been watching documentaries of some girls who made junior elite, but then got burned out before making senior. I don't know what Nica's goals are, but I hope the coaches don't push her to the point it's not fun anymore. I heard it's a good gym, so I know I'm worrying over nothing. She's an amazing gymnast, and I absolutely love watching her!
@aldenhearts Great question! We moved due to my husband's job, Texas' low cost of living, no state income tax, dramatically lower real estate prices, great public school system and Texas isn't broke unlike CA. We were happy with Nica's progress at AOGC. We were initially worried about the transition and how it would impact Nica, but the move has turned out to be a complete blessing. Nica is very excited and happy to be a part of Texas Dreams' Dream Team!!! Coach Kim and Chris Burdette are GREAT!
@hcmmor Kim is VERY nice! She's a tough coach as any good coach should be but she's never abusive. If you notice this video and the last one I just posted, the girls are always smiling but still working hard.
@hcmmor If she's already suceeding with the gym she's with now, why switch into unfamiliar gym where it would be like starting from scratch such as creating a relationship with her coach? And also like getting use to their way of trainning. It's a huge change on the gymnast herself.
@shanshanrere You dont even know what your talking about . She moved to Texas over a year ago and needed to find a new gym. I asked if she looked into Woga. So clam down
