  • R.I.P. Indian Charlie..12/15/11

  • THATS HOW YOU WIN A RACE AND THATS HOW YOU CALL A RACE. R.I.P. REAL QUIET

  • RIP Real Quiet . You will be dearly missed. A true champion.

  • thanks for one of the better triple crown campaigns in the last 25 years - RIP RQ

  • RIP Real Quiet....one of my favorites!

  • There were a lot of good horses in this race. One of my all time favorites, Favorite Trick ran here too.

  • I just love seeing big time rivals in horse racing...... Doesn't happen to often...Top 3 1st Affirmed vs Alydar 2nd Real Quiet vs Victory Gallop 3rd Easy Goer vs Sunday Silence

I wanted to put Secretariat vs Sham...But big red was in a league of his own....Sham was a great horse!! He was just born in the wrong year...

  • I'm so excited he's coming to Uruguay. I will definitely going to visit him

  • You´ll see how great sire for Uruguay.

  • real quiet has a son here in our country in the philipines the name of his colt is REAL SPICY by his mother spicy tale

  • Big browns Jockey rode real quiet.

  • Yep, Kent Desormeaux.

  • Real Quiet was breed by my family he was one of the best horses that we ever had.

  • Victory gallop would have won the Derby if the Derby was as long as the Belmont.

  • Real Quiet would've won the Belmont if it was 10 yards shorter.....

  • This was a great Derby and Real Quiet went on to lose the Triple Crown in one of the best Belmont Stakes of all time. I was at Churchill Downs during this Derby and Real Quiet won me a lot of money. If you have never been to Louisville for the Derby Festival you should come. Thunder Over Louisville is the largest fireworks display in the world and in general for two weeks people just party.

  • i am very happy that he is now standing in Turkey.. he'll definitely raise the quality of dirt horses in Turkey

  • I've never seen anything like Victory Gallop's titanic run in this race. I understand that The Sheets guys (handicappers who compute ground loss etc.) rate Victory Gallop's performance as the fastest ever. It is unbelievable considering the trouble he had and the ground he lost that he almost won the race. It was great to see him get the Belmont.

  • i have a favorite horse here in our country his name was real spicy a 3rd leg winner of the triple crown here in the Philippine and his father was real quite and her mare is spicy tales!that why his name was real spicy came from her parents.check his run here in you tube just type the key word real spicy

  • With all due respect to Luke Kruytbosch who is solid as they come, I miss Kurt Becker at Churchill. Becker is such a powerful caller, he reminds me of a modern day Chic Anderson-very resonant, powerful. Thank goodness he's still at Keeneland.

  • Real Quiet is actually my favorite horse of all time. One of the gutsiest horses out there he raced with and beat some nice horses. He ran in the last few years where racehorses were made of flesh bone and not glass.

  • They called him "The Fish" because of his slender build. Baffert himself was not expecting this one and yet he went on to lose the Triple Crown by a nose. Amazing isn't it.

  • It is an amazing story.

Real Quiet was disliked many people for some odd reason.

He may not have been the best horse in the Triple Crown, but those who didn't like him should at least give him respect for what he DID accomplish.

    He was a gutsy horse.

    Take care.

  • Hi cf!

I think Real Quiet is a very nice horse and I do like him!I have been reading his history and it is quite interesting . I think he showed a lot of spunk ,spirit ,and vigor in his many accomplishments. I can't tell you how pleased I was when I saw you had posted this race for us.Thank you so much cf.

I hope the upcoming weekend will be a great one for you!

    Your friend always ,

    Jazzy

  • Hi Jazzy! You're as sweet as ever. I thank you so much for your friendship and caring.

I really think that Real Quiet's story is a fascinating one. He deserves a lot more credit for his accomplishments.

I hope the very same for you this weekend!

    All my best,

    cf1970

  • My favorite horse of all time is Victory Gallop! I had this triffecta with the fist two finishers and the teller gave me the wrong race and I lost. Expensive lesson to check my ticket before leaving. 8-1 and 15-1 was the top 2 horses that I wheeled with the field.

  • I was at the Belmont that year live, seated near the wire. You had to see 100,000 people go from wild celebration to shock in a matter of 25 seconds. It was a surreal scene. Obviously, up to a mile and 7/16 Real Quiet was the better horse, though.

  • Ya, but at the finish Victory Gallop was the best!
