I've been watching this telethons since the sixties and my one question:
WHEN THE F*** ARE THEY GONNA FIND A CURE FOR THIS DISEASE??? ARE THEY REALLY TRYING?!?!?
Jesus, if they put THIS MUCH money into the space program we'd have condos on Venus.
OR--is there it just too much profits in NOT finding a cure??? Consider if you were a researcher and driving a Lexus, would you find a cure and be forced to drive a Chevy???
I missed the last three hours because WGN decided to cut away for a stupid baseball game. I feel the telethon was much more important then a baseball game.
I missed this years telethon, but I agree so many people don't know the legend and many don't respect him! I love this song and love to hear Jerry sing it!
I really hope someone has the video of him singing you'll never walk alone. I missed it because channel 64 in cincinnati cut it off and back to local stations right when the confetti dropped I was sooo mad. I love Jerry!
They did that in Dallas, too. The final song is something I always look forward to and now the local channels seem like they want to sweep him and his contributions under the rug. Very disrespectful.
OMG! Jerry continues to amaze me, even more each year! Thanks so much for the audio. Our local broadcast cut the very end of the national show, so I missed the Trademark Song. Always makes me cry ;) Pretty obvious that, at age 82, Jerry Lewis does NOT walk alone...
I had the good fortune of being part of the audience in Las Vegas and saw Jerry sing at the beginning of the show - the man is truly amazing - I love him!
Yeah I missed it too, I had to work :o( and it was so dead at work, I would have loved to have stayed home and watched the rest of the telethon, I love Jerry and his Kids
I hope so, too. I usually see it but got distracted by a phone call. My daughter worked the telethon here in Atlanta and I hope that someone can upload the video of this year's "Walk On."
shelly is a woman suffering from one of the many forms of md that has been present at the past few telethons, if i remeber correct she is suffering from als... someone please correct me if i am wrong
RIP Ed McMahon, 2009 telethon will never be the same....
