i may has said this badly the idea of the art should come easy like the notes he blows but blowing the horn is yes hard and chipping marble is hard but the idea should come easy, the artist should see the idea it should flow from them, not be like hard work.
Okay, I can go along with that then, I quit playing music professionally because I got to the point of having to force myself to play sessions over 2 years ago. In 30 years of working in the biz, I never felt that way, so I walked.

Only one I disagree with is "must come easy", make it look easy? sure. Easy? no way.
This reminds me of a Dizzy Gillespie story:
Diz warming up backstage hanging out with music journalist/musician Chip Stern.
"Yeeeeah," he says, fingering the valves, "when she gets broken in, a few weeks down the road, this is going to be a nice horn."
"Sounds like she blows real easy, Diz."
He fixes me with a stagey stare. "Sheeeeeeit. Ain't none of them blow easy."
