From Obama’s speech in San Francisco:

"You go into these small towns in Pennsylvania and, like a lot of small towns in the Midwest, the jobs have been gone now for 25 years and nothing's replaced them," he said.

"And it's not surprising, then, they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren't like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations,"

From Obama’s Dreams of My Father: ; 'It remained necessary to prove which side you were on, to show your loyalty to the black masses, to strike out and name names.'

From Obama’s Dreams of My Father:

I never emulate white men and brown men whose fates didn't speak to my own. It was into my father's image, the black man, son of Africa, that I'd packed all the attributes I sought in myself, the attributes of Martin and Malcolm, Dubois and Mandela.'

  • 1 /4 Obama’s Anti-American sentiment.

From Obama’s Dreams of My Father: 'I ceased to advertise my mother's race at the age of 12 or 13, when I began to suspect that by doing so I was ingratiating> myself to whites.'

    .

From Obama’s Dreams of My Father: 'I found a solace in nursing a pervasive sense of grievance and animosity against my mothers race.'

From Obama’s Dreams of My Father: 'There was something about him that made me wary, a little too sure of himself, maybe. And white.'

  • See NWO Solution on utube send these NWO demons back to HELL

  • No respect for this man any more. He made the case for the occupation of Iraq. Then ran like a chicken with his head cut off, trying to act like he wasnt the sales man of this madness we are in now... Go to pearly gates for your redemption COLIN. You lay down with dogs and have too many fleas for me to listen to anything you have to say. Colin your mother named you right, the passageway to the anus. Who was waiting for this Uncle Tom to tell them who to vote for... PLEASE.

  • Now is the time for all us Democrats to change our voting party to Republican just to send a message to the Democrat party to get them to get their act together! When they do, we can change it back to Democrat! This is what I am going to do! Join me in sending the message to the Democrat party!! (After all, Obama is for change you can believe in, right?)

  • John McCain voted against establishing a national holiday in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Now he says his position has "evolved," yet he's continued to oppose key civil rights laws.

  • If it hadn't been for some big loser like Bush, sitting in the White House for 8 years, do you honestly believe Powell would have endorsed someone like Obama? Obama's political success is completely hinged upon Bush's total failure as a leader.

  • jimmi144: So what!!?? If Obama has ideas to lead us away from Bush policies and Bush policies were wrong, who cares?

  • Here Colin Powell explained he was thinking first, then going to pick the person best able to serve his country.

The endorsement that Colin Powell made for Barack Obama is one of the clearest, most compelling, and heart touching explanations of why Obama is the clear choice to make.

  • General Powell (Republican Secretary of State)endorses Senator Obama, by the way General Powell is still a Republican. I just decided to go ahead and cast my vote tomorrow in early voting for Senator Obama. I am a conservative like Secretary Powell but as Americans we need desperate change. I'm still not voting straight Democrat but I will vote for Obama.

  • Wasn't he a key player in presenting the false documents leading up to the Iraq invasion? He did it with a straight face too.

I think his career is shot.

He seems like a nice guy - but isn't it just a tad more important to show integrity - which he clearly did not?

  • Colin Powell is the man. Very rational, eloquent, strong leader and who has excellent judgment. You just know he will rightly vote for Obama!

  • General Colin Powell is a true scholar, gentleman and American. He is a man I truly respect.

  • The problem that I have with General Powell is his naivete. His naivete was never more evident than during the primaries in 1999 when he spoke to Republicans about Affirmative Action, and when I was present at a DIA meeting in DC where he spoke a few years ago, and the manner in which he permitted himself to be used during the leadup to the Iraqi invasion by the US government. His heart is in the right place, however, like Obama he believes that he can change a mess which requires dismantling!

  • its not just blacks. look at all the generals and military leaders who support obama. many. at the dnc they had about 20 extreemly high ranking military leaders on the stage for him at once.

  • Don't bring in logic, every time you do, a Republican dies in shock somewhere.

  • Blacks have argued that the matter of the Obama candidacy was divinely appointed, and that a black man could not have been elected at any other time, not true. Colin Powell could have been president of the Land of the Free and the Home of the Slave if he wanted. The real lesson is why would a minority want to preside over a nation that has zero respect for the rights of disparate people of the world? Kudos to Colin Powell for declining to run for the killer job! What's with Obama?

  • wow...thats an interstin point homie..

  • TekKnowledge1, That's Reverend Homie to you. My people believe that the universe has sent them yet another savior to pick up where Dr. King, Abraham Lincoln and others left off. Someday, when 30million people with not only capital but spirituality learn to utilize their power and ability, their problem will disappear. Ronnie Reagan said it best, government is not the solution to the problem it is the problem or the reason for it - or whatever he said. Peace!

  • ronald reagan was a dipshit...but i agree with most of what you said rev...

  • TekKnowledge, I was being cynical. When he made that comment, he meant to disparage gpvernment in general, particularly following the Carter administration. One of the Republicans favorite euphemisms, as you already know is and was, big government. In spite of what he meant, he turned out to be correct the government that he presided over. The second coming of his government is the GBush government! Once again democrats will have to clean up the mess! Consider the Bush deficit...!

  • Bigoted pieces of DOG SHIT like you make me sick. Go shave your knuckles you slimy bastard. 308stoner, you suck.

  • /agree please 308stoner do America and humanity a favor and end your worthless life

  • Collin is a great man indeed. And from his faier position, he does lean to Obama in a great way. That is why he's opinion is well counted as a good one for America.

    Obama for 08!

  • he is voting for McCain

  • no he isn't.

  • no he isn't? he sure is. even 4 months ago he expressed his liking for obama versus hillary. he even said he would not rule out voting outside of his party

  • Colin Powell is a good man~ I was very please when he left the Bush Amdinistration. I think that he was decieved about the weapons of mass destruction and when he learn the truth, he resigned.

    Barack Obama for President 2008~

  • I have little doubt that he will cast his vote for Obama in November.

  • Obama and Colin Powell for vice president 08

  • I remember him at the NATO council. Showing to the world fake evidence concerning Weapons of mass destruction in Irak. Then blaming the French for not willing to invade Irak. Fucking Bush administration...

  • Irak?? umm...powell was just doing his job...which is exactly why he left the bush administration

  • TekKnowledge, General Powell decided to stay on after all before Condi replaced him. However, after his change of mind he received word from the President sayingthat he wanted General Powell's resignation on his desk within a few days. General Powell complied, and after submitting his resignation, the President's staff sent it back to him to be corrected. That reminds me of the kid who gave his mom a suicide note. His mom read it and gave it back to asking him to correct the errors!

  • CP should have been the 1st Black Prez......his mistake was hanging with the Bushes....

  • hes talking about RP

  • Colin Powell should have resigned a hell of allot earlier. He remained a loyal Bush lap dog for too long and he is and will always be a member of that party of conspirators who plunged us into a tragedy of a war in Iraq.

He can regret and try to make amends all he wants but until he comes right out and appologizes for his complicity in that series of events, he will die in disgrace.

  • Read "Soldier" by Karen DeYoung and I think you will understand Colin Powell better. I too, am disappointed in the outcome of his decisions. But honestly, who would have thought that the man that put his hand on the Bible swearing to defend the American Constitution would have led our country down such a terrible path of destruction? I don't think Colin Powell did either.

  • Colin Powell I believe felt that George W. Bush wasn't ready to lead fully and he joined to help him lead, but I have a feeling that he didn't expect Chenney to have so much influence over the W.House, and his role was relegated to being a messenger, so he waited it out then quit.

  • Decent input. I kinda feel the same way.

  • Now that's what I call INSPIRATION!

  • Colin Powell amazes me. I'd give almost anything to find out what really happened when he resigned or retired from the Bush Administration. People say him and the Pres. had a fight... well I love Colin Powell! I have deep respect for him, and it seems like he's leaning towards Obama.

    Barack the vote!!!!

  • plumpazip, how do you live with so much hate in your heart? must be pretty pathetic! Poor guy!

Stand for something positive, it's gives a lot of joy!

  • Two words; Dr Phil!!

  • You are sick with hate. It must be hard to be you.

  • Regarding hate if I may - If you were to be threatened by another nation, or to be killed, robbed, raped or mutilated ... the historical response of the average non=black American would be to lynch, shoot, incarcerate, burn, gassify, electrocute, nuke invade or occupy...! Should that be considered hate or hatred? Why can some engage, retaliate or preemptively destroy others who have aggreived them, and some cannot even lament the sufferings of either them, their relatives or ancestors? Hate??

  • You have to much hate in you. You must have found out you were part Black and don't want others to know.

I bet you don't talk like this in public.
