I could post this comment in any number of places that depict the horrible inclusion of Yoko in John's performances- John had a very fragile ego and could never "perform" on his own. He always needed to have a sidekick to buffer him. It was not necessary for this sidekick to have any talent. This pattern started early when he dragged his friend, Pete Shotton, into his first band. It continued with Stu Sutcliffe. It culminated w/ Yoko. Fortunately, this pattern also included McCartney.

Even when he appeared in the Rolling Stones' Rock-n-Roll Circus, he felt the need to perform with Clapton and Keith Richards as the "Dirty Mac." Later, he performed with Clapton again during the Live Peace in Toronto shows. Even in his solo years, John Lennon shared billing with the so-called "Plastic Ono Band." Later, Double Fantasy was a John and Yoko album.
