Conner, one thing you could do to make the environmental glow better would be to just duplicate your layer, change the blending mode of the bottom one to add, and mask out the spots on your top layer. it looks a bit more realistic.

Oh and for the muzzle flares, for pistols they should be about the same size as the gun.

Hey, when you do a glow for the affected areas for the light the flare gives off, you should just duplicate you bas footage and set the blending mode to add and then keyframe a mask. But goo tutorial though, I need to get some cap guns now!

You need to mask around the barrel when masking a gun to make the blow back look realistic.

@101AOK I don't know about that, i think if you wanted to own an Airsoft gun over here, you may need to have a gun license.
