  • Bobby!!! I also trued the Goya Chanpuru from Cooking With the dog... OISHII.....

  • Bitter melon 大好き!

  • as Bobby's No#1 Fan I can confirm that this video is...awesome

    look tasty too please

  • At 1:40 in this song, the singer guy says "he loves you too". Do you love me too, Bobby ? ;o

  • @Dragon22873 It's the same song played throughout the whole video, about/for Bobby.

  • Did you bring your pots, pans and chopping board from Saga?

  • My parents grow Goya in the back yard, so I have a chance at cooking this. Goya is starting to be sold in small numbers at Asian stores in Perth.

  • Ah what part of Okinawa were you at?

This time last year I was at Camp Lester, but something came up and forced me to move back to the US

    I miss it there

  • good presentation and thanks for making me hungry! lol

  • This is probably not the smartest question, but how Vegetarian friendly is Japan?

  • @tinumyster Sadly, not very. If you're going to do your own cooking, there are lots of great, delicious vegetables and fruits available everywhere (though fruit tends to be pretty pricey), so you'd be okay. The problem is that most dishes at most restaurants, even ones that don't contain meat, USE meat or fish products for flavoring.

Vegetarianism isn't very big over here, so finding a place that is conscious about the meat content of their food is pretty hard.

  • Oh, man! GREAT opening!

  • If you come to my house on Sunday, I hope you know it's BYOSPAM and BYOgas renji.

  • it looks like you were cooking at the beach?? ahaha i like that

  • it looks like you were cooking at the beach?? ahaha i like that

  • @yoshimaru12 Staying in the same kitchen all the time can get dull...

I can't wait for it to get cooler so I can do an outdoors Oyster grilling video!

  • Spam is really good.

  • @LookSquirrel I NEVER ate spam back in the states. It's edible. :)

  • and I loved your cooking song. haha

  • @TheFamousLoser Dude, check out the Bobby Judo Theme Song video.... my friend Colin made it for me. HE'S awesome.

  • WOW! You're Japanese is really awesome! I'm in Japan now too. I'm trying to learn, but...haha

  • That meal looked great, and I am sure it was a lot of fun cooking on the beach.

    Thumbs up.

  • Okay, now that i know how to officially make this, (thanks to you) I don't have to run to the restaurant down the road from where you stayed. I wish I could've shown you my beach before this video, you would've had a more comfy beach to cook at.

SPAM and Goya are yum. well SPAM at least. I force myself to eat Goya for it's health benefits - it's an acquired taste.

  • @AnyaE11 When you make it like this, the mirin and sugar make it more friendly to your mouth. And letting it sit in salt cuts down on the bitterness a LITTTTTTTTTLE bit.

  • im hungry now, thanks #LOL

  • I love cooking with dog!!!

  • Haha I love cooking with the dog.

That looked rather interesting.. but I'm not a big fan of Spam.

I guess I am just weird.

  • @markshmily Not at all. I actually don't really like spam either, but this was good. I dunno why, but Spam is really popular in places like Okinawa and Hawaii. US military influence?

  • The food looks good!

  • Really cool. That looks really tasty.

  • wow goya ): its brave of u to try

  • @garbonzobeane Goya is awesome, man!

  • great video :)

  • @MichaelKila Thanks! If you like asians who don't look asian, check out Ciaela's channel too!

  • Bittermelon is a taste I never got used to.

  • @ASSEMblerEX I wouldn't eat it by itself. The flavors of the other ingredients make it edible.

  • Nice, bobbyjudo. Too bad I can't get in on some of those nommans :P

  • @Kail200X Just a 1400 dollar plane ticket away, Kail.

  • @bobbyjudo Eww, money I don't have! D:

  • the Okinawan beach looks really pretty :O

  • Looks like it was pretty hot there. Hahaha

  • @AdamDubb It was brutal. We sunscreened up hard!

  • Kudos for cooking in direct Okinawan sunlight. It can be pretty fierce. Keep eating goya and you'll live a long life.

  • @erniesbudolab Thanks for the advice!

  • I wanna try to eat your cooking!

  • Thumbs up for your Florida Gators shirt!

  • @FlexKillah

    boooooooooo

  • @TheRandomSkillz Go gators.

  • @bobbyjudo

    noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo lol

I even live in Florida lol.

    Did you ever live there?

I live next to Orlando right next to the Space Center.

  • @TheRandomSkillz Uh... yes. I'm from Florida, and I went to UF. Hence the shirt and the "Go Gators." :)

My brother lives in Orlando now, my sister near Jacksonville. My folks are still back home in Lake Worth.

  • @FlexKillah Go gators.

  • I like that combination of bitter melon and Spam. With lots of rice!

  • Looks good. Can you explain what goya and yuzu are? Just curious.

  • @ZenSawTrombone goya is bitter gourd while yuzu is kinda like a mandarin orange

  • @ZenSawTrombone yeah, what @mmmburp90 said.

Goya is that green thing, and it's got a consistency like a THICK pepper, with a really bitter taste. Yuzu is a japanese citrus fruit. Taste wise, I think it's like a half-orange/half lime almost.

  • Ive never seen a cooking video outdoors....pretty awesome!! you're girlfriend is such a good sport about making videos in the middle of vacationing ^_^

PS cooking with dog is also awesome!!

  • @lauramrs I know, right! She's fantastic. But I think she likes the food more than she likes me. I want to do more cooking vids on the road.

  • I am not a big fan of Goya but that recipe looks really good!

  • That looks absolutely marvelous. Payday is this weekend; if I can splurge for a can of SPAM (that's not something you hear everyday), this is going to happen in my frying pan.

Speaking of tofu, I'm on a tofu kick these days (because I'm broke). Any fun recipes you can recommend? I'm already mastering 麻婆豆腐. Thanks for the video!

  • @shortnsuite3 I've had a couple of requests for a basil-tomato-garlic tofu steak recipe recently. I'm sure you can find similar recipes online, but when I put mine up, I'll let you know!

  • it looks very delicious although I'm not really a fan of tofu. the weather is so nice and hot in the video :)

  • @silvershine699 Anyone who doesn't like tofu hasn't had it prepared well. Tofu can be ANYTHING. :)

  • 1-- Don't lie, you bought the Yuzu Toufu because it was half-price.

2-- Saying "spam" with a japanese accent totally makes it sound like the カタカナ語 of 精子

    4. Did you actually bring the gasレンジ to Okinawa or did you somehow manage to access one there?

  • @Ciaela There is no 3.

  • @Ciaela

    4. We brought the range, bought the gas there. We don't fuck around.

    1. That was a factor, yes.

    2. You've got something on your chin.

  • Comment removed

  • Ahhhhh how can you eat goya????

I have to spit it out whenever i eat goya!

but your cooking looks very delish. :) thankyou for another cooking video!

  • @YoshiEatsWasabi You're welcome! You should try goya like this, mixed with lots of other flavors!

  • FIRST TIME I AM FIRST ON A BOBBYJUDO VID

  • @Sadude13 YYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! Way to go, man!

  • @bobbyjudo LOL, that felt so condescending, i dont know why?

  • @Sadude13 I was, and remain, legitimately excited for you. I've NEVER been first to comment on a bobbyjudo vid. Maybe someday. ;)

  • @bobbyjudo LOL, maybe someday indeed, but with ppl like me around i doubt we will ever give you the chance to do so
