  • i've gotta say its pretty neat the drove the race car on streets all the way from LA

  • dear santa...

  • he said 620 "horsepowers".. *facepalm

22.6 mpg is absolutely mental in that car though, what a machine

  • I guess you could say this is the apex of the modern day forced induction 911's driven to the apex of hill climbs.

Having traveled only short distances in the GT3 RS and GT2 RS, I can only hope that Jeff Zwart was wearing ear plugs for most of those thousand miles. And did he then go on to drive it home after besting his own record?

  • Is there a video of him doing the run?

  • its a great car, but for pikes peak Porsche needs to bring it something noisier, could bear hear anything from this car at devil's playground

  • First thing the crew did when he came down was putting the license plates back on :)

  • Look at 1:07 they fitted a 996 gear lever. Why? Maybe because Jeff is used to it.

  • I have u 1 day baby

  • I also made an epic road trip to Pikes Peak....in a stock Nissan Altima 2.5....:/

  • You guys talk too much! I'd much rather drive my '08 GT3 than listen to you guys. I'm out...!

  • My dad has a porsch

  • @Roboyoyo what does he have?

  • A/C and GPS you're lucky the GT3 RS don't even have this...

  • Was this shot on a 5DMKII?

  • who else drove their race ready car to the mountain ?

  • 2:32 da war ich schon :)

  • Very annoying voice

  • @DanFrederiksen have you never heard of Porsche hybrid cars? Or are you just stupid?

  • @HassaanAbdeen I'm quite intelligent and informed. the prius style hybrid is not green and the crappy panamera certainly isn't. and if you mean the 918 spyder then that's a lie. they lie. they are douchy like that.

it's a concept car they show to muddy the green issue so they can continue making their crappy gas cars. and as you can see from your own ignorance, it works. you think they are doing well. say like a sheep

  • porsche is evil, holding on to combustion engines when they should be going to electric drive.

know that porsche betrays your future people, same as all the car makers have been doing for decades because they make more money that way. get informed. wake up. oil is running out and the world economy is crashing under it and it's only the beginning. you have no idea

  • @DanFrederiksen

Porsche isn't evil; they're an incredibly ethical business who will make the same transition as everyone else and they produce much less than the "clean" automakers. Your fear mongering and presumptuous attitude is unproductive as we know what is going on and the real price of gas.

  • @Burzum325 of course they are evil and stupid. otherwise they would have light electric cars by now that run circles around their heavy slow gas cars. the tesla roadster is basically faster than all their models yet it was built by amateurs as a first generation. and it carries 450kg of batteries. yet it beats the admired porsche..

all the german car makers are super douches like that. they all lie. they make many EV concepts yet continue to sell their crap. wake up my sheep

  • @DanFrederiksen

Well its undoubtedly obvious you have watched who killed the electric car and now you're all gung ho but the Tesla Roadster is a sham, unfit for anyone who actually has a distance to drive to work. There is no infrastructure for electric/hydrogen cars and people are still willing to pay for gasoline, so it is not the company's fault. Furthermore, your electricity is still produced at powerplants so if you had any fucking mind, you would be more interested in hydrogen trains

  • @Burzum325 seeing as I'm the genius and you are the ignoramus, I might ask you where you think the hydrogen comes from..

never mind the many technical problems with hydrogen fuel cell cars and the fact that it's 3x more efficient with battery drive than hydrogen.

your work would need to be quite the distance from home to exhaust the Tesla's nearly 400km range.

but I'm not telling you anything you don't know here..

  • @DanFrederiksen

Hydrogen as as wide a range of being harnessed as electricity and yet it doesn't take 32 hours to charge, with proper infrastructure, hydrogen + public transportation is much more efficient. Another thing is the range of an electric car is completely irrelevant as unless you can afford one that can produce low end power, you're going to run out fast.

  • @Burzum325 low end power?

electric cars go further the slower they drive. you don't quite have a grasp on the fundamentals.

  • @DanFrederiksen

Wrong, but you don't understand what I am saying. Your ego isn't making up for your lack of intelligence. Have fun dying alone.

  • The GT2RS looks beautiful in red!!

  • Jeff Zwart. Keeping the Porsche rallying spirit alive.

  • IS really SEXY

  • Black on Red is perfect for such a powerfull Porsche , great video !

  • A Japanese car is invincibility.

  • WHAAAAT??!! GPS,Air Conditioner and a Loudspeakers in a GT2??? That's a Race Car!!!!!!

  • this man talks like a woman.

  • but is it electric..

it doesn't impress me. it's very heavy and very expensive and only marginally quicker than en electric car lugging around 450kg batteries.

I don't see the progression or sophistication. just more low brow engineering.

they want you sheep to buy the same old primitive tech as always and love it.

  • @DanFrederiksen So what do you drive? Tesla? Nissan Leaf? Mini-E?

  • @robm425 what I drive is irrelevant to the needs of the planet. but I don't have a car. if I had money I'd probably convert some car to electric drive. or make one from scratch that blows everything away

  • @DanFrederiksen Oh it just goes to your hypocrisy! Its one thing to preach the joys of electric motoring but when you drive a combustion engine car yourself it nullifies your argument. Electric technology is still environmentally and economically inefficient when you consider the production effects to the environment. BTWs if you did any research on Porsche you would see they are bring hybrid technology into their race cars and have been working on the Porsche 918 Spyder hybrid

  • @robm425 I said I don't have a car. your other comments are equally wrong.

I know what porsche has shown and I also know that they still only make combustion engine cars and they have no intention of making EVs. but they will lie about it to fool you sheeple.

I know them better than they know themselves. they are pathetic

  • @DanFrederiksen If you know better than them why are you wasting your time on youtube commenting? Why not start a successful industry that will do better than Porsche oh wait. You are one of those do as i say but not as I do people.

Prove you know better than Porsche and make a competing product and stop bitching!

  • @robm425 do you have the billion dollars it takes?

prove you have a mind and start thinking.

  • @DanFrederiksen I do have the mind as an evironmental economist, but honestly demanding others do when you sit on your ass is pointless. If I had a billion dollars I wouldn't be investing in hybrid or electric motors as the technology hasn't advanced to a feasible level to the American public. We have a huge infrastructure problem that doesn't support electric or hydrogen. If we had the infrastructure and it was an economical choice i would pursue it but right not its only filled with losses

  • nice street car, glad you kept to the speed limit all the way, hope you make up for it up the Hill! Don't forget to shave :)

  • UHHH GOD

  • where is pikes peak?

  • @lourke123 2:40 It says Pike's Peak, Colorado 12.5 miles to the summit

  • Whoa.

  • one of those cars that looks good in almost every color i've seen it in...my favorite is silver, white, and black...red is pretty nice too

  • Wow that was aweseome, will there be a video of him doing the climb?

  • that car is just amazing

  • sehr schoner porsche!

  • 80 mph speed limit, lucky

  • @Ho0di road trip

  • @Ho0di it´s just recommendations

  • Colour me Guards Red with jealousy!

  • 620 hp and still got 22.6 mpg? Color me impressed.

  • Damn it looks good in red!

  • lol i can think of much better countries to drive 1132 miles across than america

  • @fleetwoodsucks i think germany you would run out of country in 1k miles

  • @12valvepower1 but you dont have an as oppressive policing of driving over there and the roads bend as well

  • New School power, Old School tradition!

Just the way we like it.

  • what a great car!
