I like them being a trio again. Yeah, I miss Charlotte too, but they're just fine without her now. I saw them live last year at one of the "1977" gigs, and sonically, I can't say the sounded like there was anything missing. Amazing gig, especially getting to hear "1977" live from start to finish.

She was an excellent edition to the band. She helped Ash define their sound as if it needed to be defined because 1977 was a sensational hit as well as Trailer

Nu-Clear Sounds really was the key to Ash and they kept it going into Meltdown. Though she left in 2006, they still had the vibe to go back to the raw 1977 sound with the three members. TOTI might notve been appreciated as much but i still think its an excellent album and reveals the true Ash that was contained in Trailer and Meltdown

well, i wouldn't say they've gone downhill becuase of charlotte. although nu-clear sounds wasn't as good as 1977, it was actually wilfull career suicide. besides, free all angels and meltdown were awesome. twilight of the innocents isnt as good as either of those albums (though it was still pretty good). so you really can't blame it on charlotte.

Well I appreciate what you are saying, I'm not saying Charlotte ruined it just, this is the best thing I've heard them do since 1977! Do you need your ears tested? Is Time Wheeler inhaling before very line like an athsmatic? No. This sound not a thing like Muse. It sounds like Ash. An unfortunately tame Ash but Ash none the less. I prefer their songs to be either ballady or rocking. This middle ground is unsettling for me.

Still think they are great though. Goldfinger is one of my favourite songs ever.
