@vAsRageQuit I did ITF TKD for 2 years in high school, I had a green belt when I quit. I'm not sure if I will go back to martial arts. I have to think about what art I would study etc.
any real martial art would beat either street fighting or MMA!!!! Real martial arts FTW!!!! :) mma can't succeed unless they can take the fight to the ground! ((point at MMA and laugh))
@Bobsunckle1 well in the case of MMA, it is a moot point because MMA person can't win unless it goes to the ground, so even if the other person doesn't want to, either the MMA guy will take it to the ground, or the MMA guy will lose after having tried to take it to the ground.
@neutrino78x ahhh I see what you mean :) what I meant is guinuine fights (all 'martial' and no 'art' :P) such as in bars or (a little cliché...) street fights - TEND to end with both members on the floor tugging at each other, in THAT situation I would rather know BJJ or similar to something like Tae Kwon Doe :) no offence intended :)
@Bobsunckle1 well if it is a bar fight, and you're dealing with some thug, naturally that person would not know much martial art technique. so, taekwondo would prevent it from going to the ground (unless, by going to the ground, you mean the thug is disabled and on the floor).
lmao kiggalui is stupid as hell...i am sorry to burst ur bubble but tkd would kill street fight..u wouldnt even get one punch on him until he knocked u out...haha anyone agree with me?

a good video BUT. how how many of you been in a real streetr fight. taken a real punch to the face. It dont matter what these fags can do. Experience of street fights over training. I could whoop all ur asses. any time any where.
im sorry but i can beat the shit out of you ive been in alot more fights and I also rep 50 pound dumbells. martial arts is better than experience in street fights how often can you fight a person to get better than training with a master who knows techniques. I lift and box.
saying you 'rep 50 pound dumbells' is quite a vague statement, rep them on what exercise? I can tell you now that if you are doin 50 pounds on chest press or shoulder press then thats not at all impressive, and if you can curl them, who cares? you dont curl weights in a fight. Muppet.
@fenderman21guitar He most likely meant curling, and strength is vital in a fight, but not as much as skill and technique. Different types of fighting styles vary. Example : TKD is more of a kicking and punching technique, and Judo is throws and grapple moves. So, they may do better in different situations. In this case, he boxes and is probably more skilled in punching and blocking, and being strong would really help if you plan on boxing. So it all depends.
@kiggalui I take Tae-Kwon-Do classes and I agree with you. Street fighting ain't shit. Anyone who knows martial arts will beat the shit out of any of those stupid street fighters who don't know shit, and when they run into a fight, they don't even know what the fuck they're doing half the time.
@gimmeurchipz ROFL, a good TKD guy wouldn't even let you punch him in the face he will kick the fuck out of you and you wouldn't be able to notice, trust me. Streetfighting is like girl fighting except hugging.
Cool, how u caall these ?, "Forms "? I remeber one (hana, dul, set, keeooo)I did a little Tea´yelobELt When KId , do people go tho clases afer theyre 29 or so ?
serious this guy is a amature im 13 and im a 2 degree black belt in tae kwon doe and a black orange in kenpo and ju jitzu this guy needs to get his korean terminology right
Many martial arts will be good for a street fight and most any have their upsides. It really depends on the teachers and what they focus on. Some tae kwon do teachers will focus more on the self defense aspect. If your looking for something to protect you on the street the main thing to be looking for s not the martial art as much as the teacher I think.
I teach taekwondo. I'm a 4th degree. I've never seen 3 step sparring wher you only step back 3 steps in a row with no counter attack. I also do rock climbing, and muay thai, and expert village gets noobs to do all of them. I don't agree with anything expert village brings to the table.
Hey i'm sort of searching around whether to go to karate or taekwondo i tihnk i may go taekwondo i just want to know because your 4th degree you'd have some experience, just is it effective on the street i aim to go through to my black belt but i just want to know if someone with no martial arts experience all the experience he has is with steroids trys to attack me would i be able to stop him, teach him a thing or two and make him not want to do it again?
All tae kwan do is is for like sparring. its more of a sport then a martial art.
if you want to effectivly defend yourself and follow up and punish the asshole who messes with you. take karate. dude seriously dont take TKD. take karate. trust me.
this is part 2 of the entire 3 step sparring.. if u look at the 1st video + this video it's the full 3 step sparring. Also, there is a counter attack in this video.
great

lol, you have no idea....
This is Three step sparring. It's actually very good training. There is no way you'd do this in a street fight...
And i'm glad you'd get near to a Tae kwon do martial artist. If they are experienced. You'd be on the floor before you know it.
Trust me on that. =]
