Is there anything that will deter them from breaking in? Because mine keeps getting broken into for no reason (there's nothing on display and nothing to steal) but they go thru my shit anyway. Not trying to steal the car, but I'm stick of paying money to fix my window and I can't keep filing claims with my insurance.
I bought three of these some years back, & they still work. They are safe for the user if they use the key fob remote before opening the door to deactivate it.
My only complaint is that the use up a lot of 9 volt batteries even in standby mode.
I use them in combination with a hidden kill switch.
can someone tell me where I could buy one of this item,I have a 2001 wv golf, and they broke my window 2 times, try to still my car, can someone tell me where,or this a prank???
@onpsxmember I had no electrical problems at all when I used it. There is no electrical connections made to the car itself, only the steering wheel lock.
I think it would be awesome if the entire steering wheel, and seat was that way.... woo hoo, talk about joy ride :) (yeah, I know it's sick n twisted)
I am selling my autotaser on Ebay. There are only 3 days left on my auction. Take a look at my channel for the demonstration video and the auction listing. Thanks!
@darthspeaks. I won't say it like that, but yes I do not like it when people take things that don't belong to them. Someone stole my hubby's car and we still have not retrieved it. His friend saw the car and approached the thief at a Auto Zone. The thief was shaking, but the friend was too scared to do anything too. He could have blocked him in so that he couldn't leave in it and then called the police, but he didn't and we're not happy about that. But God will punish the ones that wrong us.
ok then just cut the dam steering wheel and it will fall on the floor then kick it ok the car and drive off thats it .just by look at it tells me this thing sucks
Oddly, it isn't so much a rubber gloves that will help you as a few sheets of aluminium foil (or a single sheet of close weave thicker wire mesh) wrapped around the handle.
The zap is MUCH happier going through metal from one side the the other than it is trying to trudge through human tissue.
However as most folks do not go out to rob a car with a roll of ally foil, it will work very well the vast majority of the time.
From the manufacturer: It's a "visible deterrent to prevent someone from tampering with your property.
CAN RUBBER GLOVES BE USED TO PREVENT ELECTRICAL CONTACT? The AUTO TASER easily penetrates ordinary rubber gloves. The TASER technology can penetrate leather and thick clothing as well. The AUTO TASER can penetrate even automobile floor mats."

ok not again .ill give u a simple trick just wear rubber gloves then brake it with hammer or if it take a key pick it or if it take remote just find the power source and cut it off
can't you just crack that in half with a hammer or a tool a thief is using and stops working? I think the tweaking lights and sounds would give it away.
what is it all about? nothing happens.

@Lordthieves31 This is not a prank. The AutoTaser used to be manufactured by Taser International, but it was discontinued many years ago.

The easy easy peasy answer is this, Everytime a car thief is caught, chop one of his fingers of. Eventually they will have no fingers.
No fingers = no stealing cars. I would like to volunteer for the finger cutting job as i could then shove it up their own AR*E

creeping current is enough to destroy some stuff...

Why warn the thief, let it be a surprise. Maybe just a disclaimer on the window without specifics can shield from lawsuits, maybe .

youve got to be scum of the earth to steal a car. they should invent a device that shoots you in the face if you try to mess with it.

I'm not a lawyer, but does Taser know about this? Could be trademark infringement.
