THIS IS NOT THE VERSION I SAW BACK IN THE 70'S BUT MUCH OF IT HAS BEEN REDONE STILL GREAT LYNCH. tHE PEE STAINS ON THE SHEETS AND HIS DAD BEATING HIM---WAS TYPICAL IN THAT ERA.
What is the sense behind this? I don't understand art... It's optical pretty for you? Is there a story behind the things? I'll never unstand "art". Music ist the real art.
god forbid an artist in ANY arena should assume people are cognizant of their OWN thoughts, emotions and interpretations. geezus, people.... get real! dust off your brains and THINK! in just 16 comments, look at the conflict!!!! lol brilliant, mister..... fucking brilliant
Lolwut? I do love pchychodelic, but I'm pretty sure that doesnt wane no sense whatsoever. I mean,I can draw a white chair, and make it transform in a cloud, but that isn't really clever...I don't think even Lynch himself understood this.
It's great David Lynch.... and gloomy. I don't deny that it is well crafted work but it is still grim. You must have had a better childhood than me. My opinion is simply formed from my own standpoint.

I always liked how there's no actual dialogue whatsoever but only odd backround sounds ^^

Though even before watching this I always imagined a person coming out of a tree sometime...

This is indeed brilliant work, for a low budjet short film and for the social matter motive arranged in a series of odd events.

I can see both Human centipede 2 and The Mince Men were inspired by such as this!

It seems to me tht Lynch's early works have a lot to do with maternity, paternity and abortion

PIECE OF ADVICE: when your parents are away at a concert and your home alone and decide to get high at 11:30... don't watch this.
