The advertisement in this video is typical of american men! I like the Brutale, but hardly davisons are junk! Hardly davisons are american and gay. If hardly davison has purchased MV Agusta, then I hope MV Agusta goes out of business! If it is not true, then they should thrive.
i really hate the fact that HD has taken over but i guess they did not have any other suitable options and its better than not having them in the market at all
Rumor has it that even though Buell is being shut down, Harley is still keeping the 1125R, as it was Buell's top selling model. Buell had only sold a hair over 10,000 units in '09, and 10k units a year is not enough to support any motorcycle company.
Buell is being shut down as well. According to the article I read, no buyer for MV Agusta has been announced yet. Harley posted a 21% drop in retail sales in the third quarter, compared to last year. The recession is hitting everyone hard.
IMO America should support HD and HD owned company's financially!! It's cultural heritage. It's like closing the Royal Albert Hall, or a Saint Paul's Cathedral or something similar. They just cant do that It's almost blasphemy if they were to be shut down (Yeah and that comes from someone who rides 2 japs..)
Couldn't afford HD until now. And as it seems, by the time I could afford them there not going to be around anymore... That blows big-time.
Well, thankfully, H-D is not in such dire straights that they have sought a bail-out yet. . . . I think the sell-off and shut-down are attempts to batten down the hatches for the long-haul. If things get worse, I'm sure there will be a hue and cry to shore-up the venerable old Motor Company.
Now if only they would produce some models at prices people can afford!
Yeah I know but selling of parts is a clear sign, that things aren't real good right now. But that's why I said HD owned companies too. Because the Buell bankrupt really sucks IMO.
I mean sales are down everywhere, but there'll be better times. And in my opinion with a little help now, Buell could still be a viable company in 30 yrs. It's not that there was a structural problem. It's just a pity. Especially considering Opel was saved by the German state, although majority owned by GM.
they should have kept going with the buell. idiots

If I got to choose I would scrap the Harley brand and keep MV and Buell. But that will never happen unfortunately.

I don't mind...
Let HD sell MV ans so they might make great bikes again (those incoming three-cylinders)
By the way, a shame they're shutting down Buell, pintorsesque little bikes... but it is a favour to the aesthetics fo this world.

HD will sell MV soon if they are smart. There is no future for this brand. The markets are already flooded with bikes such as these.

the riding position looks weird in the vid, perhaps because of the fixed footpegs?
it looks uncomfortable, like he's trying to duck under a branch

Saw the Ducati today and while i was watching this thought it must of been one of these but obviousley not......
animal100000 2 years ago
Why does this look almost identical to a ducati? And why the hell does the headlight look like its off of a newer model vw beetle??
kingofpita 2 years ago
because ducati copied the design? (whcich is like 10 years older than the ducati's new design)
masterknaster 2 years ago
Yeah the headlamp does look like it came from a new beetle LOL

Harley is not about to fold, sales are just down. I don't know where you got that idea. They are still producing parade floats in various colors.
