I'm a male and I'm not a big fan of Gwen, but I totally have her back on this song. I think old gender roles are a load of crack shit. I think a female, as an individual, should have the right to choose and even voice when they are not comfortable with a lifestyle role or living situation. I think new gender roles are bullshit too, but that is just me and I think guys should be able to do the same thing. (Like I said, I'm not a big fan of Gwen, but I feel like she makes a good point here.)

Women are taught that men are whoremongers and will support you as long as you give them a little nookie or head a few times a week. We learn these "roles" and it's hard to get away from the typicality of it all. I hold semi-sexist views, myself, but I consider that not everyone fits into my generalized ideas.
