I have to admit the Roland Fantom he used did a good job at recreating that sound. I've seen alot of live versions of this song, and the Fantom is the closest recreation of the OBX I have heard so far. But even it's not perfect.
I know that the sound is some kind of a Square/Sawtooth blend. Almost like an early digital piano.
The old analog synths have such better character to me. Too bad about Alex's rendition of 'Subdivisons' as far as vocal go, hehe. I guess it was a bit early to use samplers at that point though.
@RallyCat909 I totally agree...ever since Geddy has been using current Roland crap they've lost their 'bite'. I miss the old analog stuff - their keyboards used to be awesome like on Exit Stage Left! Also Neil's electronic drums sound thin nowdays compared to his old electronic drums. Sadly.
pretty fast :)

I agree with most of the comments here, and I will add that I prefer the sound of his Tama drums, to his current DW's (Dumb Workshop) ....

Geddy needs to bring back the Oberheim OB-X and original minimoog. Also, the taurus pedals
