  • hi , im 13 , i know im kinda young to understand this topic ... but i dont get why the government wont Legalize "weed" if doesnt do tht much damage ? why dont they ban smoking which causes lots of deaths per year or alchohol ? plz thumbs up so sme1 can reply to me :) i dont get it

  • Why do we wait for these so called leaders of our land to do something right?

Spred weed all over. Seed seed seed.

So now it's growing everywhere who will they bust?

    All of us?

    NOT

  • Canada is going down the shitter, seriously as long as harper penis face is in power were all fucking screwed, the only good candidate died and now we have no one to stand up for us cause fucking retards here voted for the con artists..you hear that you sick SOBS? if your reading this and voted his ass in, im blaming YOU! for this travesty and will hold YOU! accountable. I can do that YOU voted and gave him power so YOU will suffer the consequence and him.

  • I voted NDP last election, but now that good ol' Jack's gone, I'm voting Liberal.

  • Canada Would Legalize in a heart beat. but there afraid there population will sky-rocket because the rest of the world is Fuckin' Stupid.

  • Canada will legalize marijuana, U.S think their pros, but pussy!

  • The Liberals are not even the official opposition, their views don't mean very much. The Progressive CONservatives (the party in power) are neither progressive nor conservative they are misogynistic a-holes run by a scared little man who doesn't listen to popular opinion, something like 60% of Canadians are in favor of legalizing Cannabis - what are they waiting for?

  • nothing can substitute natural sunlight

  • well im sorry but fuck the Canadians situation we need it legalized here in Australia. im sorry but u have a shitty climate for natural weed. help us get it legalized ill give ya a good rate on our exports.

  • @urmumscuntful lol we have some of the best pot in the world.

  • I'm Canadian. It's not going to be legal, at least for the next 3.5 years. Whatever the federal liberals say doesn't mean shit because they were decimated last election to only a handful of seats. The only reason they're suggesting it is because they have nothing to lose, note the NDP having dropped decriminalization from their agenda over the past year...

As long as Stephen Harper has his goddamn majority government, which is imposing harsher pot regulation, it will never be legal.

  • @EastwoodPEI really i thought marijuana was legal?Cops have caught me smoking soo many times and just taken it away been caught like 15 times never charged i thought that shit was decriminalized :S

  • @420Crackdealer if it was legal, they couldn't take it away from you.

  • @catmom1975 i just thought they were dicks lol

  • oh course Canada will legalize weed. They almost did last year. just a matter of time before it goes thru. Basically legal already

  • Well the smoke is nice here in Maine for sure. But my response to every hypocrite that post against it is....suck my Joint hypocrite till i shotgun on your face and that Includes Obama the Pope and mother Teresa

  • Kim Campbell former tory PM admitted on PBS that Canada was set to legalize pot, but was threatened out of it by the USA. The current tory cabal has stated they will not end prohibition of pot. Time to take out the trash. We know the lies told about pot are based on racism and corporate greed. If the tory party wants to adopt that mantle, so be it. Do everything in your power to kick the bums out. Peace

  • first world problems, if you want to smoke weed smoke weed, we have it good here in Canada, if you don't think so try living in the middle east for a few weeks.

  • @CanadianPatriot86 or in Holland

  • NDP will Legalize drugs too, so i can sitt around my appartment with an 8 ball of coke and play some battlefield 3 while drinking coke a cola

  • Liberal Party will do anything to come back after being replaced by the NDP liberals got DESTROYED in May of 2011, NDP 2015 or Marxist Lennonist Party of canada 2015!

  • Fuck Mitt Romney

    Fuck Newt Gingrich

    Fuck Rick Santorum

Fuck Every other candidate besides Ron Paul

    RONPAUL2012!.

  • Some more liberal pothead propaganda.

I feel ashamed to live in the same world as people who try to justify pot.

  • @DiseasedMoss ur the biggest bitch

  • @DiseasedMoss Then leave it. Peace

  • @DiseasedMoss lol because it's SOOO much worse than alcohol and cigarettes because it kills nearly the same amount right? Let alone more kids and teenagers are getting addicted to prescription drugs? grow up, pot isnt nearly as bad or as dangerous than all the other drugs people can get their hands on, you've taken prescribed drugs that are worse for you.

  • @222RL

Thing is prescription drugs HEAL you.

And before you say pot can do the same in sold medicinally, there is no real benefit to it over traditional medicine.

And you think I like tobacco and alcohol? Tobacco industries trade blood for money. And I don't like alcohol either.

  • @DiseasedMoss this is a pretty ignorant statement....forgive me for saying this but you sound very uneducated on cannabis and its uses. cannabis being legalized is the right thing to do.... Not because we all want to get high....but because it could help the economy by decreasing the deficit and eventually ridding our country of debt....we could get rid of pulp and paper mills considering cannabis contains more cellulose than wood products/doesn't create as much pollution as wood products....

  • @DiseasedMoss Thing is prescription drugs HEAL you< id like to know where you got this info as well.. have you ever actually watched a commercial for these scripts that HEAL you??? the side effects most times are more harmful than the ailments your trying to rid yourself of...

  • @legalize1983 Id rather know whats in my medication like I do with marijuana... curing my anxiety is not going to be done by some drug to make me a robot... I want to be happy alert and focused as well as living life like a normal person

  • @DiseasedMoss Have you ever tried it? And please respond...you look like a coward just saying shit and not responding.

  • Im fucking gonna live there , canadian weed is The Best

  • government greed and shakedown now.

it will be just like alcohol.

The moonshine wars will now begin.

  • Canabis is a Cancer Cure, Step on my Trip?

  • Why split from the monarchy? The system in place works very well and there is not gain to the proposition only insult.

Australian and New Zealand have the same ties to the monarchy as Canada and those ties have done nothing but strengthen ties and unity, if the US was lucky they could ask for the same deal and come in from the self imposed cold.

  • connect with me,

  • Harper will allow his corporate masters to sell tar sand oil to countries such as, US, China. The oil will be directly pumped through Alberta/B.C. and eventually end up being shipped overseas to China. There will also be a pipeline within the next few years going directly from Alaska, through Canada, back into USA. The mainstream media fails to mention this in Canada. Any follower of US news/politics would know that the US is actively pursuing the this idea in the media, and through congress.

  • The statement below me is false. Unfortunately most people in Canada are brainwashed under this mentality.

The truth is Harper is selling us out. US and Canadian troops can now be used cooperatively within US and Canadian soil.

Harper's Regime is building/funding 12 new prisons across the country. Including public & private institutions.

Harper is endangering the lives of many Canadians allowing oil expansion and pipelines across western Canada. This directly affects many First Nations.

  • @S1L3NTS0LD13R Harper is being a dick and he knows it, but then again both US and Canada at this same point in time are passing bold and anti-democratic laws.

  • @S1L3NTS0LD13R mm no it seems correct :/

  • @DaKuteCate lol ya, it was a different comment! o well..

  • @S1L3NTS0LD13R How is he selling us out? Our prisons are overrun what do you expect him to do? How is he endangering Canadian lives? What is the matter with pipelines? we need to stimulate the economy. How does it affect first nations exactly?

  • @S1L3NTS0LD13R their building a huge mental institute in hamilton suposily its going to be for all the cazys heere

  • Canada:

    -No wars

    -No Crimes

    -No Rapists

    -No Terrorist

    -No President

    -Best Country ever

  • I voted NDP... if you actually think the Liberals would implement this bill you're insane. The liberals are more crooked than the Conservatives. They had a collapse last year and they are just desperate for attention and attracting young voters who overwhelming voted for the NDP last election. I think the only party that would honestly introduce a legalization bill is the NDP.

  • Watch "Run From the Cure" the Rick Simpson story. Yes the majority of Canadians, of which I am one, want cannabis decriminalized/legalized. However it's going to be a real battle!! We aren't kidding ourselves about that!!!! LOL LOL!!

  • Canada needs to Either ban alcohol and Tobacco or Lagalize Marijuana

  • @IsDaMicOn78 in BC it's medical marijuana that's legal, you need prescription to be able to get it though

  • Proud Albertan reporting in!

You people have no idea how happy I am!

    Liberal! You get my vote!

  • LEGALIZED IT MOTHER FUCKER< FUCK YA GOO CANADA!!!!

  • I thought it was legal in B.C.? Finally! Something to make up for Bryan Adams and Celine Dion...You are forgiven Canada.

  • @IsDaMicOn78 I don't know where you got that from. The only thing that comes to mind which you are speaking of is hemp. Hemp is legal in Canada (it's absolutely absurd to keep it illegal). As for marijuana, it has been decriminalized in Canada and is often left unenforced. If you go to Vancouver on April 20th (420), you will find everyone walking around smoking a joint, the cops just stand around watching (as if 'pot-heads' are violent, haha).

I'm glad people are coming to sense.

  • This is the first young turks video that hasn't made me mad. I don't know why but everytime I see a video of theirs something is said that just grinds my gears.

  • Whoever disliked this need to get shot

  • I'm a proud user of marijuana. I smoke it about 4 times/week, max. My hubby & I MUCH prefer it over alcohol. We don't have children yet but would never smoke w/ them around, nor would we want them using it until their brains are fully developed (if they chose to). We will, however, teach them early on in age-appropriate ways about the plant's uses & its ridiculous inclusion in the drug wars. Children need the truth, not old scare tactics. Let's face it: Fear & prohibition have done "dick all"!

  • @kennykenkenz 'nor would we want them using it until their brains are fully developed' i know 14 year olds who smoke more than me... when i have children if there 12 and want a joint ill give them it there choice not yours.

  • @amosyboy1 I get ya. It's your call how to raise your own kids and no one should tell you how to do that. I can't help but think that you're not acknowledging something about the human brain. The frontal lobe (the part that controls the ability to reason & make responsible decisions) doesn't finish developing until about 18 years of age, which is why I made my decision. The risk of kids moving on to hard drugs increases when one uses weed at a younger age. Are u, by chance, younger than 18?

  • @kennykenkenz no early 20s... why?

  • Fucking rights and that's why i live in Alberta.

  • Man wtf r u talking about Canada is the best place to live.

  • @keakyndred12 right on brother!

  • @keakyndred12 Except cold.... haha

  • @keakyndred12 CANADA....A RACIST POLICE STATE

  • fuck yes and i live in BC

  • @MrXxJ3LLOxX me too!

  • This is why Canada is fucking amazing! So glad I live here <3

  • dont trust them, its a trick to keep smokers under close eye

  • were going to have some u.s immigrants lmao

  • Marijuana is, except for the extremely dumb and unlucky, legal in Canada. The only reason it is "illegal" is because the U.S. threatened Canada when we tried to legalize it. Well over half the Canadian population smokes it anyways, the growers and sellers get slaps on the wrists, and that is only to show the U.S. government "look, we are following your laws" so that they will not go through with the threatened trade embargo.

  • Canada tried in 2001 to decriminalize pot, but the bush administration directly interfeered with Canada's legeslative process.Theres even video footage of bush crony drug tzar whats his face discussing interfeerance.

  • @dsspike51 - In 2002 (after two years of study), a Senate Special Committee on illegal drugs recommended marijuana legalization for Canada: /watch?v=ZHDaIZ4ouo0 The future looked bright there for a moment but as you stated, pressure coming from the U.S. put an end to that pretty quickly. Eric Sterling (former chairman of the U.S. Legal Committee of the House of Representatives) explains the process in general @ 05:28 in the following video: /watch?v=5XeSjdMA7HQ

  • @TheBuddernut ....so did the ledain report in 1970,but with that and a dollar fifty you can buy a cup of coffee......the only time pot legalization/decriminalization gets any air play is when cynical libs or new dumbocrats want to garner more of the youth vote.....

  • Alberta.

  • About Albert, there cowboy that's only in the south.

  • The US would be INSANE to close it's borders with Canada for ANY reason let alone something as small as weed legalization. The US gets quite a hefty chunk if it's oil, among other imports, from Canada, so if they closed the border, it would be a case if cutting off your nose to spite your face...plain stupid. If they closed their borders to Canada, then EVERYBODY would hate America. It would be like shooting your own brother

  • @xxinsufficiency ....w already have threatened to...when jean "cretin" and his liberal govt raised the spectre of decriminalized pot, carlucci was dispached to do exactly that, and the idea was dumped..... ..closing the border does not mean sealing it up.....stepping up border inspections even slightly would back up truck traffic into the u.s. that could grind the canadian economy to a halt.....drivers would refuse usa bound loads as the delays would be too costly.....

  • i would fucken cry if marijuana gets legalized here.

  • My opinion is they should put it legal because people like me who as a uncurable deasese wont be able to drink alchool, in cause of the alchool stop medicals effects, but weed dont do anything to the medicine.

  • BOOOOO! DO NOT MAKE WEED LEGAL THE GOVERNMENT WILL TAX IT AND MAKE IT LESS POTENT THEN WHAT WE MAKE NOW.. granted potency has but down in the last several years. Regardless who wants to pay taxes to blaze? bad enough zig-zags are taxed!

  • @hot21mom Informe yourself please...... weed will be more potent because like alcool the 0.5% to 40% and more... it will be sell like the THC will be regulate 5% to 90%. The taxe are a good thing because it whit make you know that it is no chemical or pesticide and who wanna smoke those ? Bad enough some fruit have pesticide! Your ridicule dude :D

  • @hot21mom Buddy, tobacco facilities can covert to marijuana very quickly, and massive multi-billion dollar corporations can actually produce and sell it for much cheaper than organized crime grow ops. When the Netherlands introduced their policy price went down, although they have tight control laws, unlike what the liberals would introduce, although yes taxation does suck.

  • I live in Canada and know it won't happen because the Conservatives have a majority. Meh if its officially legal or not doesn't matter to most people here we still toke up.

  • Man this is why I want to move to Canada they aren't fucking retards like the United States. Not only that Canada in my opinion is more beautiful. I'd love to move there but I'm 16... Maybe I can when I'm older but I heard it's hard to move there legally.

  • @MrCracker21 Have you checked out our immigration policies!? anyone who can speak English or french, get a job, and name all provinces and territories can join.

  • @keneth231742 Really? I never knew that. I honestly thought it was going to be difficult. But seriously? That's all you have to do?

  • @keneth231742 if you are from pakistan, china, korea, somalia etc,we'll pay for esl,and support while you settle in,as well as lawyers for any immigration problems and allow you to bring over the grandparents too,who will be eligible for all our social programs and pensions .....americans,not so easy....seems we put up more barriers for americans....funny tho',if canada is such a great place, why do we have to pay third world people to come here

  • @buckandotis Because of all the rules that the liberals set up when they were in power. It will take several years for our current majority conservatives to make the necessary changes to restore logic to the system.

  • @MrCracker21 Don't let us Canadians fool you, we have lots of retards here as well. :) The number one thing I envy about the U.S.A. is its constitution. It's been hammered a lot in the past few years but I sure hope my American cousins will continue to stand up and defend it, as it's the only such document like it in the world! Currently, Ron Paul appears to be the only person running for President that even cares enough to speak about restoring it to its full beauty.

  • @TheBuddernut ......maybe they could loan us the second amendment for a while....ron paul would probably make a good president, and jesse ventura for veep

  • Reinvigorate the youth movement? Try North America.

I'd love to see the tourism-numbers if Canada legalized, & see the decline in US sales of munchies ^^

  • I know where I'll be going for weekend vacation trips.

  • It would be the best thing that any government party ever did. And Harper needs to be held responsable for all of the crimes he has comitted.

  • "Drugs... well at least marijuana should be legalized"

    - Somthing tells me he doesnt get it...

  • I hope we never leave the monarchy. It gives us close ties with Briton and the rest of the commonwealth. I think most Canadians would agree with me.

  • @lukasstover clearly not close enough to spell Britain right lol (no hate intended)

  • @XxBrostepxX sorry you're right. briton means the people, whereas britain means the country

  • PLEASE GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Im a proud Texan... but if Canada legalizes Marijuana, Guess whos learning O Canada REAL fuckin quick?

  • @InnocentTillProven please take this Indiana resident with you!

  • @InnocentTillProven Haha, I approve of this post. Hey from Canada :P

  • @InnocentTillProven ....ain't gonna happen.....cynical liberal party pols have courted the youth vote by promising to "look into" legal/decriminalized pot,for most elections for forty years......if canada ever tried it the us would shut the border down and canada would be screwed....

  • @buckandotis We get most of our oil from Canada so yeah... The US would have to be on crack to close the border.

  • @InnocentTillProven With Canada, it's not a matter of IF, it's a matter of WHEN.

  • @InnocentTillProven if you want to fell like home move to Alberta. It's conservative, full of oil, cowboys, and cattle.

  • @InnocentTillProven If you are going for a Canadian citizenship, I don't think you even need to know that. Immigration is lax as hell here.

  • @InnocentTillProven yo mama

  • @InnocentTillProven Loool dkm

  • @InnocentTillProven You can be my neighbour while I will help you through the culture shock and adjustment period. ;-)

  • @InnocentTillProven Canadian documentary with real footage of real banks.

Watch How To Rob A Bank at UmotionS.com

See the trailer at my channel with the link in it’s description.

  • 19 people have u.a's

  • Its illegal I live in Montreal ?

  • Don't get too excited folks. The Liberals want to legalize, but they're not in power. Harper's in power, and is actually increasing the penalties regarding pot. 9 months minimum jail sentence for 6 or more pot plants!! Not to mention the sneakiest part, which is that he's making Health Canada stop allowing medical users to grow their own. Therefore, anyone with a grow permit(over 3000 people) will now be considered a criminal if they don't quit growing, Harper and Conservatives suck!!!

  • yes it's legal in my conuntry . i just haven't told anybody else yet...

  • fucken canada! <3

  • Hell yea I live in Detroit I'm movin the fuck outta here.

  • That actually the first time im proud to be canadian

  • Liberals wanting legal weed? only in canada.. fucking canada.

  • Hopefully canada will unlegalize it...df hell no! LEGALIZE WEED!!!

  • Moving up there someday or visiting something! If Weed is legal im goin 2 smoke a fucking cloud storm!

  • maybe moving to canada

  • Marijuana becoming legal? FUCK YEAH!!

  • Damn. There goes all the money to Canada!

  • The laws surrounding marijuana and hemp in Canada go directly against the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms..its unconstitutional... anyways March 6th there's going to be a court case to figure out what to do about this....

It is ridiculous to legalize weed, it should not be considered illegal in the first place... instead of legalizing they should just get rid of Cannabis as a scheduled drug

We want the people to control marijuana/hemp production.. legalization might not do this fully..

  • NDP only way for me :) liberals have given us too many problems and conservatives are a wee bit to conservative for me. steven harper has said marijuana will never be legalized under conservative government. and liberals have had this idea for a week. dont fall for there slimy tactics to keep votes from ndp

  • @sirsmokinstien...... sure, legal weed and a bankrupt country, yeah ndp yay......i approve of legal/decriminalized pot,but if that means supporting loons like the new dumbocrats, then i'll just have to live without pot

  • I didn't know Cenk was so informed of Canadian affairs...

Much respect from this Canadian. <3

  • absolutely amazing. after marijuana is legal here, canada is going to be the best place to live. i'm very grateful i grew up in this beautiful country

  • I live in Holland and I don't smoke , because I can !!

Same thing with alcohol : I can drink , but i don't wanna drink!

So simply : if You have a choice You start to think !

  • Canada is to be honest a country devided and the only thing keeping it intact is the cultural hertiage of the monarchy... but hey weeds good.

  • Will never happen, unless the US starts first. We are the US's mirror image.

  • I'm Canadian but I never really saw the purpose of the monarchy. I wish that we can maintain our parliament and constitution but just leave the monarchy behind. We can have an elected governor general who is Canadian, not someone appointed by a foreigner who lives in another country. Also, I'm all for legalizing, selling and taxing marijuana. :D

  • Canada doesn't want to separate from the monarchy. We like our culture, and so do a lot of other people around the planet. Weed on the other hand is practically legal if you're smart about it. As long as you're not holding enough to be labeled as intent to sell, like 3 grams or some shit, then 5-0 get out of your face about it. At least the cops here in Toronto know what's up.

  • @MahoCanada2 28grams or under is decriminalized. but far from legal. if they see it there not letting you leave with your stash.

  • Marijuana is legal in Canada. It just not official.

  • @toughspitfire its not legal until i can acually smoke it on the streets without people looking at me like theyre about to call the cops

  • @toughspitfire If you can get arrested for something and go to jail, it is not legal.

    What it is, is selective.
