  • Superbement progressif et rock sale à la fois.

  • Excellent tune! One of my favorite groups of the late 1960's.

Hanging out playing this album until the needle wore out.

The organ makes this song deep!

  • The cover painting is by Bob Dylan!

  • love the organ

  • One of my favorite tracks! The Band was waaaay ahead of their 'time'.

  • Easily the greatest debut album of all time.

  • @LDixon007 I would agree but would qualify that in terms of worldwide impact (plus Robbie's songwriting) that their second album (next year) could be considered "debut" in establishing them as a major tour de force in music. This one - to be sure - got the attention of musicians!

  • One of my favorite all time songs from The Band here,I love Chest Fever.

  • Talented musicians like The Band, Rush, Neil Young and Joni Mitchell make me proud to be Canadian.

  • @dumbangel75 Yes, They were all Canadian except for Levon who is from Arkansas. But there sound is the most American thing ever made! God bless THE BAND

  • @rtgrigsby *But THEIR sound..

  • @rtgrigsby yeh there awesome, although its really sad how richard manuel killed himself

  • @dumbangel75 ...and Arcade Fire?

  • @dumbangel75 likewise, and not to mention newer artists of today, like Matt Mays, Sam Roberts, The Sheepdogs, etc... Unreal talents.

  • The Intro could be Deep Purple....it's tough to beat the sound of a Hammond B-3 with the leslie screaming..

    My favorite sounding instrument.

  • @sonshound I was literally just telling my sister how good the Hammond b-3 is and how its the best instrument, Fucking cosmic coincidence to this psychedelic tune!

  • @murraymanman Lowery/Leslie - still psychedelic :)

  • who needs the music of today when there is great tracks like this one.

  • @jibbean The first time I heard this song was on the Three Dog Night concert album, c. 1970.

  • Coolest intro ever.

  • !!!! A masterpiece I had almost forgotten bout...
