  • If they do make an anime out of this route, I think it has the potential to be something great. Just imagine what they could do in the animation department with the budget they're using for Fate/Zero!

  • Kotomine punch!

  • @TheTruthOfPerfection

Sometimes in anime there's a good amount of monologuing. But I understand what you're saying.

  • You will never punch the shit out of Kotomine Kirei while your body turns to steel and this plays in the background. sacchin.jpg

  • that feel when there will never be a heavans feel anime ;_;

  • @TheBlasties Heaven's Feel wouldn't do too well as an anime, anyway. Much of what makes Heaven's Feel great, is what passes through the characters' minds in a short time. This would be quite difficult to portray in an anime, as they can't simply stop time for us to find out what's going through the characters' minds.

Example: Shirou Vs. Berserker would ONLY last 3 seconds. We wouldn't be given what's necessary for it to be seen as an epic battle, as it is in the Visual Novel.

  • @TheTruthOfPerfection A notable point, and well made.

To even come close to HF in anime, the producers would have to cut a lot of corners for the sake of entertainment value. Not only does this mean we'd probably see some "filler" combat in fights like Shirou vs Berserker, but they'd probably pull the same stunt with the H-scenes as we've seen in other FSN animations (CG cobra for Sakura sex, anyone? :P).

  • @gngskpow The sex would be replaced by blood drinking?

  • People argue that Type Moon villian are not good villian because they can be hated. However, I think that those who have power but depend on lots of scheme are cowards, not villian, unlike the likes of Gilgamesh, Night of Wallachia, Kotomine Kirei, Nrvnqsr Chaos, Araya Souren and the others Type Moon villian, Shinji and Zouken excluded.

  • Kotomine is one of my all time favorite villians, because he's just too bad ass not to be. Check him out in his prime in Fate/Zero. But even in this scene? He 'effing PUNCHES a man whose body is made of swords... several times! Balls of steel.

Two men, one half dead and the other about to die, fighting hand to hand with no magic, just their wills. HF is not my favorite arc, but it has, in my opinion, the most epic final battle in the series.

  • la ultima pelea XD

    SHIROU V.S KIREI

  • REJOICE

    EMIYA SHIROU

  • Kotomine : "What a troublesome body, the one attacking has to risk his life."

Shirou : "It is ... a price you had to pay to attack a body made of swords."

  • I like how Kotomine is actually defending something 'pure' here, where he ultimately doesn't care about such things. If you pay close attention, he is protecting the vessel because he believes that the desire to be born is pure and though death has been caused in its wake, who is to say it is evil before it even breathes the air.

This also was a scene where, Kotomine who had never had a thing to defend that he saw as pure, fought for something he viewed as ultimately pure to the death.

  • @NanieYasha Even better than that. Kotomine is forced to take his own advice. Remember, at the end of Fate he comments that Shirou should attack and put his life on the line to try and win. Kotomine has no choice against Shirou here in Heaven's Feel. A half hearted attack will be deflected by the Body of Swords. And even a powerful blow is life threatening to the attacker.

This scene mirrors Fate's ending almost perfectly.

  • @NanieYasha Well said, I only wish people would start listening to my rants about this under rated series, when asked about the series characters, any breif summary of Kirei makes people think he's the villian, having to reiterate the complexity of the characters in a great work such as this tire me. Even the most otaku of my friends refuse to watch Fate zero, leading me to think such great animation has gone to waste. Zzzz...

  • Rejoice young boy.

  • Two zombies, one held together by the swords skewering him. The other fueled by a fading ball of black magic instead of a heart. They will both die, but they beat each other to death anyways, surrounded by all of the evils of the world.

    Gentlemen, this is epic.

  • This is a meaningless battle. We are two madmen engaging in useless folly.

  • "As my body is destroyed, swords are created to keep it alive."

Best fight in the entire novel.

Nah... Maybe Shirou x Saber can equal that. Still, this fight shows how Kotomine was underratred in the other routes.

  • @AstralSword I agree. Kirei suffered from the same weakness Gilgamesh did. He was grossly overconfident. In Fate he knew Shirou knew no magic so he thought he had no way of harming him. He doesn't even move from his spot. In UBW he underestimated a Heroic Spirit's tenacity and will to live so assumed Lancer was dead already. Gil dies for much the same reason in all 3 routes.

  • @LeonGun8 Kirei is still a God-Tier villain

  • Fucking love Kotomine. So evil in such a casual way. Pure awesomeness.

  • One is made God's light, one is made of swords. An epic music for an epic battle. *_*

  • I PUNCH I PUNCH I PUNCH I PUNCH I PUNCH!

  • "Kotomine.....KIREIIIIIIIIIII!!!!!"

  • Kotomine vs Shirou , light and darkness indeed

  • Lossless source?

    Where from? Link?

  • @sabata2 It's from my own copy of the OST

  • @nintendomaniac64

Okay, it's been a while but I have to ask... Where'd you buy it?

Some of these songs just too good to listen too ONLY on youtube.

  • @sabata2 It usually goes for decently cheap on ebay, but it doesn't seem the Realta Nua version is being sold. (you technically need both the original PC VN OST and the RN OST for all the songs, but the RN OST has most)

In the mean time, check Google Products search.

Also you can just do a data rip of the songs from the XP3 files, but they're in a lossy lower-quality format. (OGG vorbis Q6 ~192kbs) However this should be fine for most non-audiophiles.

  • @sabata2 Or just download it from youtube and convert them to MP3 files or any file format you want. Just type "youtube downloader" in google and download any of the programs. Then use the very versatile free program "SUPER" to change the format, which you can download from google, as well.

Hint: SUPER is not able to process japanese letters and therefore you should rename the file, or he will no be able to convert the video in 9 out of 10 tries.

  • @abschussrampe

I don't think you understand that you can not regain lost quality.

Trying to move Mp3 up to Lossless will still sound like MP3.

  • @sabata2 It is not that i don't know that the quality does not increase after putting it into another format, it's just that i'm german and hadn't quite understood what "lossless" meant, before you pointed it out!

  • This. Is. The. Awesome.

    Nice choice, very fitting picture.
