  • A real beaut indeed!

  • Hey pond, is that your work @ the FARM in meyersville nj ? It too is a real beaut of a pond!

  • Hi pondhunter

  • gotta say...thats a really nice natural looking pond...

  • @stalematesibling Hey thanks for the compliment! visit me on my face book page too!

  • What is the point of having a "professional" come to your house and build a pond that would cost thousands and thousands of dollars. I made a 20'x10' pond for little over $800. eBay is magiclally priced :)

  • @TheDammad3 You have a point, but also what is the point of going to a dentist when I can pull my own teeth out for free! The dentist would charge me almost $1K. I guess you get what you pay for. Please post a video or photos of your $800.00 pond so we can see what the differences might be and why many people choose to work with professionals.. good luck with the $800 budget.

  • @thePondHunter please tell me wherei can goto get certified as a poffesional aquascaper, yourponds are awsome. or callme onmy cell phonet 413 429 5576 i am orty years old and out of work but i have built two geat indoor koi ponds and i would like to try to d this for a living,

  • what is the averageprice to put in a decent pond with a depth of about 4-3 feet? pllease let me know

  • @geraldgustav Hello Gerald, I would need alot more info to give you a proper answer but I build alot of ponds in the 7k-9k range that are awesome. If you give me some more info I can answer your question better. On my website loveyourpond com I have some pond packages put together that can also give you a good idea of pricing on different pond sizes. Thanks for watching! -PH

  • Hi i live in london and the weather is gradually getting warmer but unfortunately my pond is getting greener :s is there any way to to make the water clear again without having to empty out the whole pond. thank you

  • This made me have to pee.....

  • @mizzuffinmizzan1 ha! come back to watch the rest when your done!

  • This is the only pond I'd ever think about swimming in!!!

  • @thePONDHUNTER Thats very true my pond right now has no rock but i was thinking about adding some this summer.. I like the look a lot better and it brings out the color in the fish.

  • Hey mike, just one quick question about your ponds. Many people tell me that it is bad for your pond if you put rock on the bottom, but all your ponds have rock..... is there a difference???

  • @mmpolarisranger Hi Polaris, there are advantages and disadvantages to using or not using rock and gravel in pond construction, and there are many MANY ways to build a successful pond and I have built many ponds without gravel. My preferred method is with rocks and gravel, after 15+ years of pond building I am very happy with the results of the ponds that have been built using rocks and gravel. I also think from an aesthetic view, rock and gravel ponds are prettier.

  • awesome pond, whats the depth?

  • @tejash55 Hey Tejash, thanks for the comment, glad you like the video. The depth was 36" at the deepest area, 24" throughout a good portion of the pond too. Visit me on facebook/thepondhunter too. take care

  • when it rains does the pond gets polluted or effects the fish. what abt the predators like cats

  • @ThePearlshine Hi Pearlshine, no the pond will not get polluted from rain and the fish are not affected as long as it is not extreme weather the pond installs I do are installed in a way that ground water will not mix with the pond. Cats typically do not represent a problem for the installs I do, the worst predators are large birds like herons, but even that can be controlled with a good installation. Thanks for commenting, visit me on Facebook/thepondhunter too. -PH

  • Very helpful videos!, hey how do these plant pockets have worked in your projects? I would appreciate if you can tell me more about this pockets, and how do you manage when dividis lilies, etc. Thank you!

  • @DiegueteB Hi dieguete, the plants pockets work out very well. When we need to divide the plants we just take them out and do our work then put them back in the pocket and cover with gravel! works great! Thanks for checking out the videos and visit me on facebook/thepondhunter too. Take care

  • @thePondHunter Thanks, I think I will renew my pond on January and add levels to my pond, you inspired me! Thank you again for your answer! I'll keep looking your vids! Diego

  • @thePondHunter Hey Mike, Thanks for your answer! You really inspired me to redo my pond, I just got one more question, how do you avoid algae to grow on gravel and stones?

  • @DiegueteB Hello Diego, algae will always grow on the rocks, but it can be controlled and kept to a minimum. Algae growth is directly related to how you manage your pond. You can set up amazing filters but if you do not manage your pond right algae will still flourish. In short, install good filtration, keep plants in the pond, control feedings. thanks! -PH

  • Hey Thanks for watching the vids. The pump is a 5000 gph pump running the system. Pricing on ponds like this can very in range of 10-15K. Hey visit me on Facebook to on The Pond Hunter page

  • that is sweet im so gona build one this year

  • @xelamorph Hope this inspired you. Let me know when you get the project going. Remember to visit me on Facebook too at The Pond Hunter page! Thanks for watching.

  • @xelamorph Leave it to a proffesional...The reason you don't see DIY projects gone array posted online is because men are too ashamed to post them...This is a serious job. You could end up hitting a sewage line or something....

  • @Ariegiggles You got that right! However even us professionals hit the occasional power line, water line, irrigation line, gas line, drainage line you name it, over the last 15 years I have dug them up!

  • Amazing pond. Out of all of your videos this is probably my favorite. Great Work.

  • @cameron101cj Hey Cameron, thanks for the compliment. I am so glad you like this project. Wait till you see some of the upcoming videos of more recent projects. We have been building some great stuff1 can't wait to show it.

  • how does the pond not over flow? great video

  • @ilikessubway Hi, thanks for commenting and watching the videos. This is a closed system so the water cannot overflow unless it is being filled.

  • Wow! Beautiful! - What are the specs on that pond?

  • Great Video, see this one on YouTube

( Russell Palumbo Beat Down )

  • Thanks Bulldog!

  • beautiful pond!!!,such clear water too it looks so natural doesn't aven look man made! =)

  • Hey thanks for the great comment and thanks for checking out the vids!

  • Great Pond, Just one question, How do you keep the bottom of the pond clean, ie dead leaves and silt ect, I have a 3500 gallon koi pond with bottom drains and a skimmer which filters into a 5 foot diameter vortex and through a five foot dia media, and then through an 8 foot long media trough filter before returning to the pond, the amount of debris is unbelievable, I will take some pics and upload as soon as the sun returns Regards from the UK

  • Hi send pix to my email. do you use a skimmer on your pond? part of all our filter isntalls will include a skimmer box for debris removal. I would credit skimmers with a great deal of debris removal. Location of your pond will account for the amount of debris you get as well. Thsi particular pond does not have to many problems with debris from trees etc. There are many ways and approaches to controlling the amount of bottome debris in a pond. Maybe we can discuss ways you can utilize.

  • Hi Thanks for the reply, Yeh my skimmer is connected direct to my Vortex chamber, which spins a lot of the debris out but i stillseem to have a lot of problems with the filters clogging, as soon as the weather improves i will take some pics and video, at the moment we are about two foot deep in snow, the worst winter here for thirty years, regards Jim.

  • pond look's absolutely incredible well done.

  • Hey Coral, nice to hear from you. Happy new year!! thanks for the comment, thanks for watching, and thanks for subscribing, I appreciate the support.

  • Happy new years to you too keep them great projects coming

  • Very nice pond ! I too , would love to have one of those fork lift "toys" .

  • ......that's what she said

thanks Gumper, happy new year year my friend! hows the weather up there!!

  • the pond hunter has done it again bravo,,

  • Thanks! and "GOOD MORNING!!!" yowza

  • A New Video!?! Great, Love it. I wish i had one of those things like you had in the begging of the video, it would have made my pond look so much nicer cause i would have bought large boulders too.. I mean i cant move them by hand like i did all the other ones, and even then i was falling off my feet at the end of the day =) Oh and what camera are you using, this video is really in excellent quality! I really like the idea of plant pockets too, very very clever!?! Excellent work!

  • Arteom...what took you so long man? Ha! you're the best. camera is just a flipHD. This pond has done great, bit frozen at the moment but I'll see it in a couple of months again. The plant pockets are a very natural touch for any pond installation.

  • I was doing homework, see i am home schooled too much crap going on in public school's in California to go there.

Oh and it would be nice if you could get a brand and model number on the camera i am in the market for one right now so i can video tape my pond in the spring, the koi, and the pond cleaning.

Thanks a-lot for going through all the trouble of editing, shooting, uploading, and replying to these video's, i don't think you get enough Thank you's. But you got one from me! =)

    - Arteom

  • Hey Arteom, if I could do it again I think I'd homeschool my kids. I use the Flip Ultra and the Flip Minho. I look forward to your vid posts, your first one was really good! Thanks you for your very kind words, I really DO appreciate it. As you can imagine many people simply attack and critcize, it is nice to get some intelligent back and forth going on this channel when there is so much to learn..everyday something new comes up and I try to give the best info I can. Take good care my friend!
