Justin man! Thanks so much for all your lessons bro!!! and by the way....how many emergency vehicles are going to interrupt your lessons?! this is the 4th time or something!! Cheers from new england!
i realize that now! ^_^ At first i didn't understand why we needed to learn the different positions of the scales. but now i see why, to play the scales all over the neck!I know its nothing spectacular but that was killin me!
Thank u SO much. I've been tryin to figure out how to improvise. I know i need to learn my scales, but i didn't know where to go from there. thanks for the different exercises. ^_^
Very nice mate thanks alot! Ur really helping out the beginners here. I'd say im a beginner, im moderately skilled with the pentatonic scale. I play mostly Hendrix but now i've just really started playing my own stuff and applying Hendrix's techniques to my playing. Really dig ur style man, keep up the good work!
Excellent lesson! Thank you very much Justin. You're actually doing the (almost) impossible, which is to make me interested enough to practice my scales. I've wanted to jam for a long time, but the theory aspect always bored me to death (especially scales), and so, my progress has been very slow on that front. This lesson now turns boredom into fun. Thanks again! :)
thanks man, ur a real good teacher! i play guitar for about 5 months and this is coming usefull =D i was used to learn moslty chords and some songs with tabs once in a while...

I found writing the tab down for the 4 in a line pentatonic helps a great lot, you begin to see a pattern and it helps a lot

Is the pentatonic scale always played on the fifth fret or can it be played anywhere on the neck?
blugtar87 3 years ago
you can play it anywhere on the neck but you have to consider the root notes which is the fret where you begin ;)
