@elfishgrin I'm about 6 foot 1. i think at 6' 3'' you could drive it fine. i can't stretch my lets out all the way but there is enough room for you. the neighbor i bought the truck from is actually a bit taller than me and he has drove a regular cab shortbed s10 from st. augustine florida to west palm 4 times a week for almost 30 years. (i think the one he sold me was his 3rd with 600,000 on the trip all with some one who is 6'2 - 6'3)

@TiELURtrash a few reasons, for one its a 60 degree rwd engine just like the 2.8 (same block basicly) so it will bolt right up to the t-5 thats in it without a 500$ bellhousing or bothering to put a new tranny in it. and then its got a lot of aftermarket parts available. my headers on the 2.8 will just go right on, they make cams, roller lifters, roller rockers, hypereutic pistons, chromoly rings, gaskets are easy to find.

Straight headers or manifolds or just plain old straight pipes will NOT harm your engine or valves. It only reduces backpressure and you will lose power at low RPMs.
you have to drive around for awile with straight headers to have the valves melt. i'm prepared to redo everything anyway if they do go for whatever reason but i did put exhaust on it after this.
hydrocarbons smell soooo good though. the backfiring prob sped up the head problems to lol. im building me another v8 swap but i dunno yet. might build on the 4.3 they are more of a silent killer then a v8 imo. v8s are loud and people who know their stuff would call it out instantly.

Sounds crazy Loud! I just got headers put on my f150 and sounded good, but now I got the rest of the exhaust setup done. Sounds good and loud. Great sound, u don't expect that from a small v6.

they're hedman hedders and thats all thats on the truck in the video. later i put on cherry bombs. if you just want the sound simply lop off the catalytic converter and put a cherry bomb or flowmaster 40 on. you can go all out and put a camshaft in too, that helps the rough muscle car sound. also do true dual exhaust for power.
i like. i have the headman shorty headers and a true dual 3 inch straight pipe exhaust. sounds good, and noy as loud as you think but still loud and soundin good.
that sounds sweet, i got a 99 Sonoma ZR-2 and its loud but not that loud. your S10 sounds like my 84 F150 with the 5.0L 302, has no exhaust just straight headers, extremely loud.
as far as burning ur valves. running open headers for a long period of time will burn ur valves but that is not what causes the blue smoke. that is bad valve guides which is common in chevy's no matter what u do. one of them chevy flaws. but as long as u run exhaust after the headers to keep the cold air from the valves ur good to go. even if a valve goes it'll still run, just like shit.

if you run too long like that it actually may burn your plug wires and eventually the valve seals, but for a few revs, there's no problem... And you ain't gonna blow any engine if you burn the valve seals, you're gonna have a small oil leak in the cylinders when the engin cools down, and a blue smoke at cold start, that's all... My Astro does that, it's 160'000 miles
yapp I got it, I was at this point actuallu correcting Chevyrulez9 which was saying that the blue smoke due to the dead valve seals could make the engine blow, which is completely false, we totally agree on that :p I was unclear and I didn't answer on the right place lol

It sounds like the trottle body needs cleaned. it is giving too rich of a fuel/air mixture. The same thing happened to my dad's truck.

and ive never heard of headers causeing valves to burn out either...

if you run too long like that it actually may burn your plug wires and eventually the valve seals, but for a few revs, there's no problem... And you ain't gonna blow any engine if you burn the valve seals, you're gonna have a small oil leak in the cylinders when the engin cools down, and a blue smoke at cold start, that's all... My Astro does that, it's 160'000 miles

yapp I got it, I was at this point actuallu correcting Chevyrulez9 which was saying that the blue smoke due to the dead valve seals could make the engine blow, which is completely false, we totally agree on that :p I was unclear and I didn't answer on the right place lol
