Uses top notch materials but little to no computer aiding technology besides standard Traction Control options that ALL vettes come with nowadays..The GTR only shares similar performance thru the curves. Straight line acc AND de-acceleration the ZR-1 will dominate every time

It is all about the poor job that the engineers did on this car. Anyone can make a fast car but some decide to cheat and use unstable part to accomplish things that they could not otherwise do. An example would be the use of a beast 4 cyl. that runs for 20,000 miles and breaks. In the GT-R's case it is launch control. Either way, your vehicle can't handle its max opperating conditions for nearly as long as it should be able to. That's definition shit any way you look at it.

I will try to be impartial but simply because a car no longer has launch control doesn't make it a "piece of shit". Full throttle starts put a lot of pressure on the transmission of any car and the gearbox is the GT-R is designed specifically for each car, therefore making it harder to replace. It makes sense, but Nissan should have spotted it sooner. I don't see where this huge rivalry comes from anyway, the ZR-1 and the GT-R are bot totally different cars in my eyes.
