According to Niitsuma though, he actually wanted the game's roster to be 58 characters rather than 50, so if demand is high enough and if Marvel's cool with it, I'd imagine Gambit would be part of the inevitable character DLC we'll be getting (because let's face it; this is Capcom we're talking about, Ultimate MvC3 won't be the last version).
@kdhvdsfkj Well Marvel wanted a new young female X-men rep. X-23 is a popular character who currently has a great solo series. The reason Sentinel got in was because he was one of the God tier characters in MVC2. I'm not too fond of that decision myself. But whatever. Capcom asked for Gambit, but Marvel said no. However recent polls showed him to still have a big fanbase. So he may end up as DLC or maybe the Super MVC3 that's rumored to be coming. That's if Marvel changes their minds of course.

It also had 5+ shotos, two Ironmen, two Megamen, two Guiles, and two Wolverines.(two versions of the EXACT same character here) The MVC3 has more franchises being represented and hardly any clones. The only two characters who play the closest alike are Ryu and Akuma.

@Galaga135 And you want more SF characters? The only one left who should get in is Bison. Being the main SF villain he should have been in to begin with. This is MVC not MSHvSF2. If people want to play as SF characters so bad they should just go play the SF games. SF already has not one but two upcoming crossovers with Tekken. No need for them to be dominating the roster here. Capcom can focus on other franchises. And there are rumors of a Super MVC3. You may get you wish there.
@KCJ506 That is a good point, but there are still many characters from both companies I think would have been much better choices than the ones they did put in... what they should have done was put more work into the game, and hold off on releasing it. It was rushed. I can only hope for a SMVC3.
MVC3 didn't have my favorite Marvel character of all time on the roster why? Well, I just hope he at least makes it in as DLC. Just like Ken and Captain Commando deserve to be in as well. Those 3 alone were probably my best team I ever came up with in MVC2. Anyway (IN MY OPINION) this is the best theme of X-men vs. SF. It has that feeling of bad-ass as well as some sort of calm. Thanks for the upload of this theme along with the other awesome ones.

While I agree that MVC2 needed character themes, I will say that the jazz in MVC2 was very good. While it may have not fit the background well, it fit the Marvel characters perfectly. This (and previous) game's music sounds more Capcom-ish while MVC2 sounded more Marvel-ish. Both are good either way, so no complaints from me.

@DW1014 SSFIV Had really good music, actually. It's modern, but still fits a fighting atmosphere, the stages, and the general game and motif. Some character themes, though...but the stages themselves had excellent themes.
@WHATISUTUBE yeah I actually do like the SSF4 music some remixed themes could of been better but your right all the stage themes are good my personal fav is the old temple and the desert temple I love those japanese sounding themes
Agreed. I just couldn't get into the jazzy theme of MvC2. The only background music that I really cared for in that game was the last boss Abyss's theme, and it wasn't really all that. The makers of MvC2 also got lazy and took out the individualized endings.

MvC2 is from the 90s? I thought that game was released in the X-box 360 era. I wouldn't play MvC2 for a few simple reasons:
1) Light and medium are the same button.
2) Clones (two Wolverines, two Iron Men, five shotos).
3) Maximum hyper level is 5 just because you have three people (maybe adding a third character added 50% of the original 3 levels).

Same discipline = same character with different appearance and minor modifications (and hypers).
King of Fighters had better variations of the same character.
I would call those two Iron Men and those two Wolverines different if they had DIFFERENT MOVES.
The move set is more relevant, not the stat buffs.

I highly doubt those rumors are true. Capcom is too busy working on Street Fighter x Tekken to care about MvC3.

It's barely playable garbage with what is possibly the most lackluster roster in any crossover fighting game. Let's hope for MvC 4, they get it right. Meaning the return of Strider, Jin, Gambit, etc.

@Galaga135 Arthur a joke character? Seriously? Strider didn't get in because of licensing issues.(He's only half-owned by Capcom) and the reason they gave for not having MM is that "he wasn't suitable for fighting games" or something along those lines.(Stupid reason I know. I think it's just Nitsuma being biased. He's also seemed to have a negative attitude towards him)

@Galaga135 And you want more SF characters? The only one left who should get in is Bison. Being the main SF villain he should have been in to begin with. This is MVC not MSHvSF2. If people want to play as SF characters so bad they should just go play the SF games. SF already has not one but two upcoming crossovers with Tekken. No need for them to be dominating the roster here. Capcom can focus on other franchises. And there are rumors of a Super MVC3. You may get you wish there.

@KCJ506 That is a good point, but there are still many characters from both companies I think would have been much better choices than the ones they did put in... what they should have done was put more work into the game, and hold off on releasing it. It was rushed. I can only hope for a SMVC3.

MVC3 didn't have my favorite Marvel character of all time on the roster why? Well, I just hope he at least makes it in as DLC. Just like Ken and Captain Commando deserve to be in as well. Those 3 alone were probably my best team I ever came up with in MVC2. Anyway (IN MY OPINION) this is the best theme of X-men vs. SF. It has that feeling of bad-ass as well as some sort of calm. Thanks for the upload of this theme along with the other awesome ones.

Variety is the spice of life but I agree I mean MVC2 had some good songs but taking out player's individual themes was a major draw back I can only think that the reason behind this was that fact that they had over 50 characters much of which went unused and unnecessary I mean Servbot really Capcom?

@Brazard23 I pretty much gave up on the Vs series when MVC2 came out. Why do they think we need 600 fighters to have a better game? Same thing goes for MK: Armageddon. 60+ characters, yet no original fatalities or creative endings.

@DW1014 SSFIV Had really good music, actually. It's modern, but still fits a fighting atmosphere, the stages, and the general game and motif. Some character themes, though...but the stages themselves had excellent themes.

Agreed. I just couldn't get into the jazzy theme of MvC2. The only background music that I really cared for in that game was the last boss Abyss's theme, and it wasn't really all that. The makers of MvC2 also got lazy and took out the individualized endings.
