I was humming this at work today and all of the memories of LOST flooded back to me. Everything. From just experiencing the story, to all the baffling mysteries, to feeling the true sorrow when a character passed away, to the excitment of the true battle and meaning of the Island. LOST was one of the best shows I had ever seen in my life and I will always admire it. And this piece specifically will always remind me of Jack's famous quote:

"Live Together, Die Alone"

I remember watching this for the first time at 14. I'm going to be 20 soon. It's crazy to think about how much everything has changed since then. Losing LOST is almost like losing a best friend. I think this is the only show in television history that's held this much meaning for so many people. It truly is revolutionary.

I remember when I was 12 when I started watching this and that's when I first started middle school and life completely changed and now I'm about to turn 18 and graduate high school... it's like LOST paralleled with me.. 5:17 to 5:50 would be epic as the final music for the last 33 seconds of the series finale. I'm thinking of a shot of somebody on the island that is gradually fading away in the distance, as if traveling away in a helicopter. Then when the full island is finally in view (hopefully changed in some way, or something else special in the shot).. THUMP! LOST!

This is actually the main theme because it plays in scene NOT involving a "survivor". If there had to be a "survivor's theme", it would be Life and Death, but it's not.
