They had to switch actors and make it look like them because jim carrey was like 40 something at that time. He didnt really seem like a high schooler now. But they should have made a sequel with jim carrey instead of a prequel

there are two dumb and dumberer movies. this one was release on 1986 and the other which is Jim Carrey played as Lyod. is the 1994 film. that's it.
