I think cube 0 is one of the best films, at least not worse than the other movies. They are all great, and this one gives us a little information about what kind of sick project this actually is.
Cube 1 is great Cube 2 is ok nothing more Cube Zero is just that a big fucking Zero they could of done it great from the concept but man did they fuck up this movie.

None of the movies actually made any sense. There was no real sense of character. I mean, the mentally handicapped man in the first one said almost nothing in the entire movie, so when he escaped I couldn't care less. The second one bent every law of physics possible, even several parts of the quantum theory itself. The third one had horrible acting. If I had more space to write, I could explain every single flaw of each of the movies, and hopefully people would realize how awful they were.

Cube 2 and 3 were both utter shit. Neither of their concepts make any physical sense with Cube 2 being the worst for that, and both had poor acting, Cube 3 managing 'utter shit' in that department. Though I can't dismiss the last scene in the 3rd which promptly satisfied me with the disappointing ending of the 1st.
Cube 1 was excellent. Flawless logic and concepts, good acting and brilliant writing.
A great start to the series with an unusually long eulogy taped on as the end of it.

A few year's ago I already watched them (without part 3), and I was amazed about the function and storyline of the film! I'd say the first Cube movie was the best because the Cube Zero traps are kinda unrealistic. Like the soundwave one, you wouldn't explode, you're brain would die and you will bleed out the ears and just die.
However the first trap in this movie is awesome, this 3th Cube is a SHAME. The first cube is for adults, this 1 is for kids. They make it so fake with the GI JOE stuff and all and the bad fake acting. And then that 'subboss' with the fake eye. What the hell was the producer thinking?
Cube Zero could have been good, I didn't like how they explained things. Like the how the Shrimp Man was explained, I like it much better how he was just a random guy that happened to be that way. To me, the first Cube is the only "proper" film of the trilogy. The lack of explanation and "Kafkaesque" themes made it much more intriguing and enigmatic. Cube Zero's enterpretation of how it works and who's in charge is way off IMO.

yea but it was like a evolved cube. Or you can say, the first cube was just a test for the hypercube (4-D). The main idea of this trilogy is like, at first they made is 26X26X26 cube and then they upgraded it to the hypercube(sci-fic)
i take it that youre takling about the physical aspect of the cube- the 26x26x26 cube. well it is suppose to be crap because this is an earlier version of cube compare to the cube in the movie cube 1.
Hypercube and Cube Zero ruined the original. First, they explained too much, should've kept us guessing, and even though Cube Zero was much better than Hypercube, it was way too flashy and didn't strike the mystery and drama that the first movie had. Plus they needed to keep the original cast. After seeing all 3 cube movies I can still remember the original cast well more then the cast in cube2 and 3.
If they had kept the original cast it would have looked weird because the original cast haven't seen the cube yet in cube 1 so they couldn't have been in it twice.
It's possible that in the end when the guy who worked in the cub meets the other group thet that group is not the one from Cube, bt he watched them all get killed and then ran into the group from cube?
But I dont want to have another Cube sequel. The First was amazing, the second was just shit and the third, not as bad as 2, but still not as good as Cube 1.
So you wanted less original doors? Keeping them as square would've begged the question you asked about more ideas. This was their alternative idea for the doors, while making a play on the shape of a zero. Plus, the door was also the logo of the group that built and operated the Cube.
Remember, this is supposed to be the first version of the Cube (it's a prequel). So, I guess you can congratulate yourself for knowing that after they did circular doors, they went with square ones.
Cube Zero: A good companion piece to Cube. Not as good, but certainly worth watching. The idea of an infinite hierarchy (bet the supervisors are scared/don't know who THEY work for) really helps to fuck with your head. The sense of conspiracy/unknowable authority, is awesome. The eccentric guy with the cane, obviously looked like that just to see what their reaction would be.
^^ you're right. I kinda binged on the CUBE series today. The first was great, the second made it seem kinda like gorge lucas got a hold of the rights to the CUBE films, and Zero just tied it all together, made it feel like a great combination of SAW and Clockwork Orange.
I've heard that criticism before, but firstly the black guy was just a mimic of Quentin, to make a lot of the characters feel (and look) like their mirrors, as if someone had blond hair. And you can't say racist just cuz there's one badguy black guy; maybe he was just the best actor for the part.

Read the book HYPERSPACE if you like two better, it's easy layman explanation of higher dimensional space. That's why I loved two. Two blows my mind, three gives me nightmares. One does both. Go figure.
The Cube was the best in my opinion the Hypercube tried to do too much with their bigger budget and lacked in the Character development which Cube 1 was brilliant for. Cube Zero looks good because it seems to be answering a few question that people had from the beginning of the Movie series and I hope it is not too gung ho on the special effects and sticks to the character development.

This movie was a waste of time and should not have ever been made. The ending was an absolut absurdity. The other two movies were about guessing and try to figure out your own ideas about what's the cube and its purpose, specially the first one. This one just gives out too much detail and the whole explanation about the cube is stupid.
Wish I never watched this movie, kills all the reasons why the others were good. Please, it doesn't even try to look like the first two, but rather a TV movie.

To me, the first Cube is the only "proper" film of the trilogy. The lack of explanation and "Kafkaesque" themes made it much more intriguing and enigmatic. Cube Zero's enterpretation of how it works and who's in charge is way off IMO.

yea but it was like a evolved cube. Or you can say, the first cube was just a test for the hypercube (4-D). The main idea of this trilogy is like, at first they made is 26X26X26 cube and then they upgraded it to the hypercube(sci-fic)

I love Sci-Fi the most so Cube 2: Hypercube was my favorite of the series (most unique storyline, not so gory, nice acting).
Cube Zero was much weaker than previous Cube movies

Hypercube and Cube Zero ruined the original. First, they explained too much, should've kept us guessing, and even though Cube Zero was much better than Hypercube, it was way too flashy and didn't strike the mystery and drama that the first movie had. Plus they needed to keep the original cast. After seeing all 3 cube movies I can still remember the original cast well more then the cast in cube2 and 3.

So you wanted less original doors? Keeping them as square would've begged the question you asked about more ideas. This was their alternative idea for the doors, while making a play on the shape of a zero. Plus, the door was also the logo of the group that built and operated the Cube.
Remember, this is supposed to be the first version of the Cube (it's a prequel). So, I guess you can congratulate yourself for knowing that after they did circular doors, they went with square ones.

Cube 2: Cube, blockbuster style! Complete shit.
Cube Zero: A good companion piece to Cube. Not as good, but certainly worth watching. The idea of an infinite hierarchy (bet the supervisors are scared/don't know who THEY work for) really helps to fuck with your head. The sense of conspiracy/unknowable authority, is awesome. The eccentric guy with the cane, obviously looked like that just to see what their reaction would be.

^^ you're right. I kinda binged on the CUBE series today. The first was great, the second made it seem kinda like gorge lucas got a hold of the rights to the CUBE films, and Zero just tied it all together, made it feel like a great combination of SAW and Clockwork Orange.

I've heard that criticism before, but firstly the black guy was just a mimic of Quentin, to make a lot of the characters feel (and look) like their mirrors, as if someone had blond hair. And you can't say racist just cuz there's one badguy black guy; maybe he was just the best actor for the part.

The Cube was the best in my opinion the Hypercube tried to do too much with their bigger budget and lacked in the Character development which Cube 1 was brilliant for. Cube Zero looks good because it seems to be answering a few question that people had from the beginning of the Movie series and I hope it is not too gung ho on the special effects and sticks to the character development.

This movie was a waste of time and should not have ever been made. The ending was an absolut absurdity. The other two movies were about guessing and try to figure out your own ideas about what's the cube and its purpose, specially the first one. This one just gives out too much detail and the whole explanation about the cube is stupid.
Wish I never watched this movie, kills all the reasons why the others were good. Please, it doesn't even try to look like the first two, but rather a TV movie.
