If you ask me I think all FPS' are the same. Run Shoot Die. That is all for all FPS'. I do like Tactical FPS' though like Metroid Prime series and Portal (Minecraft too). But anyway if you play one console (With an actual controller sorry Wii you don't count) FPS you've played them all.

@Animekid11709 Tactical FPS isn't a genre. Metroid Prime is considered a "first person adventure" by Nintendo and the Portal series is more of a puzzle game. I guess Minecraft would fit an adventure bill more, too.

@ZodanaBorado Both Nintendo and Sega have agreed to make THREE games starring both of their characters and the idea was pitched up by Sega themselves. Most of Sonic's games are even on Nintendo consoles and the only reason most of the HD games weren't ported to them was because they didn't have an HD console yet. Not to mention that the developers of the games respected each other, even back in the 90's. If there are actually people still saying their rivals, they're just beating a dead horse.

@MariotheHedgehog1998 They never were. I was reading Nintendo Power and for the 25th Aniverssary for the NES game developers were talking about their favorite NES games. One of the co-creators of Sonic chose Super Mario Bros and the he said that when you lose a life you constantly see the first stage and you always wanted to speed up be done with it and that was the inspiration for Sonic. The speed and trying to get done as fast as possible.

Allow me to further relate to my statement, the employees and Sonic Team were never rivals with specific Nintendo employees or Nintendo EAD. It was only the companies themselves and only from a business stand point of getting the most money. It wasn't like they wanted them to fail in the gaming industry, lose their jobs and die, each company just wanted to be the best selling video game company, nothing more.

We all just need to realize that these three companies have different backgrounds and interests, we should just pick whichever one interests us the most!

And most Sony fans (At least the ones I know) Don't talk shit to fans of other companies I am a Sony fan (Don't own the system though) and being a Nintendo fan I won't talk crap. But some people I talk to say they own all 3. I respect those people. But Most play the PS3 and wii more because more exclusives come out for that one then they do for Xbox.

Also, I can relate, my best friend is a diehard Microsoft and Halo while my favorite is mixed between Sony and Nintendo, and they don't participate in console wars. I'd just like to say that I gave those descriptions of each type of fanboy is because I see and argue with fanboys A LOT and that's how they act like.

I am a platformer/RPG type of gamer who's interested in Mario, Sonic, Zelda, Pokemon, Kirby, Kingdom Hearts, Marvel Comics, DC Comics, Smash Bros, Marvel vs Capcom, and Manga/Anime and no offense to any respectable COD fans, but I just don't see any replay value in COD. At least with other shooters like Halo or Battlefield there are new features, COD is honestly just the same with higher graphics and a bigger number now.
