@dipsythe3rd I'm gonna have to disagree. These special edition menus are all unique with each movie having it's own individual design; animation, colors, even the activation screen has something to do with something found in the movie. The Ultimate Edition menus are all working off the same template; a nicely designed template, but the same damn template none the less. Each of the 20 films are unique and should be treated as so. Well, maybe not for Spy Who Love Me and Moonraker; same damn movie!
It's interesting how all the menus were take offs of the Tomorrow Never Dies menu. The very first dvds I ever got were Tomorrow Never Dies and Blade and holy shit at the time I thought they were just about the most awesome things I had ever seen!
I remember when the Tomorrow Never Dies Special Edition DVD was released in late 1998, it was the first DVD I remember owning that really took advantage of the format and showed what DVD was really capable of doing, for example the 3D Interactive Animated Menus, multiple special features, and multiple audio options, and different angles.
After it came out more and more DVDs began to get the same treatment.
Tomorrow Never Dies was the first James Bond movie to be released as a special edition DVD in late 1998, the remaining special edition DVDs of the James Bond movies came out during late 1999 - late 2000.
Caraca velhu esses dvds sao muito fodas, estão melhores do que os menu do ultimate, esses são mais trabalhados individualmente em cada tema do filme.Ainda não tinha visto, vlw por postar!!
Do you remember how you copied the menus? I have all of them in the European version and would love to upload them so others can compare too but I can't manage to do so
I don't get the voice (and voices) during the menu selections and yours look more developed at times (extra sharks in TSWLM) and sometimes I have an all different menu (YOLT and AVTAK) from what I remember
I'll try to load up and post on yours so people can see the FR-EN-IT version dvds (missing TLD-GE-TWINE)
my favorite special Edition James Bond menu is on her Majesty's secret service I like the beginning where it shows every person in the sky before the options come up its really good
i think this it the DVD collection with "007"on the side. if it is, why is it so different than mine? witch region is it? my menu's do'nt have the woman etc. and this TWINE menu is 1007 times cooler than mine...?
The reason TND is the most different, remember these are the Special Editions, is because it was one of the first actual DVDs released around late 1998, before the other several films in the original Volume 1 release. The other first several films in this wave were LICENCE TO KILL, FOR YOUR EYES ONLY, GOLDFINGER, LIVE AND LET DIE, THUNDERBALL, and GOLDENEYE.
When the others were released MGM decided to make the menus more authentic.
I have 12 Ultimate Editions, Quantum of Solace 2 disc edition and two Special Editions - The World Is Not Enough and You Only Live Twice

These DVD menu's were cool back in the time of the James Bond Special Edition DVD Releases .
The Ultimate Edition Menu's are superior.
Riddler95 3 years ago 13
@Riddler95 So much more work and thought was put into the Special Edition DVD menus than the Ultimate Edition menus. The SE Menus are much more fun!
