Vampire Bloodlines Museum sneak (Celerity)

Even using Obfuscate this mission is very hard to complete undetected. I just got close to completely 'ghosting' it - not causing even a single disturbance to the AIs - but had to break the glass of the room near the tripwires to turn them off, which alerts the nearby guards. I still managed to complete it undetected, however, by using Hysteria on the guard inside right after breaking the glass. It's possible to do this while his back is still turned, before jumping back into Obfuscate :D.

I did this slightly differently: the guards can't follow you into the fetish room, so if you run in there and hide when they're chasing you eventually they'll give up and leave. I was able to do the museum with much lower stats this way.

I lol'd when you were at the computer doing the stuff and the guard keeps shooting you, you keep on trying to he keeps shooting so you just go and suck him out xD

Hehe yeah. The hacking is easier with a disabling power (trance, hysteria, ravens, etc), but the Celerity method is funnier.

If it does happen, I wonder who's going to make it.

Troika went out of business not long after the game was released.

Partly due to game-breaking bugs, but mainly 'cos most people pirated it.

@Danceofmasks The bugs were awful...this is playable now, and it's an incredibly good game (I'd place this, Neverwinter Nights and a few others as my all time top 5), but I bought it when it was first released and it was horrific. I'd wind up jumping and suddenly I'd be stuck inside one of the walls and have to reload. No biggie unless you've forgotten to save for a bit. Oh...and the sewer level sucks, lol, but I'm not a fan of sewer levels in general.

Another amazing game that was nigh-unplayable on launch was The Witcher.

If you haven't played The Witcher Enhanced Edition, I recommend it.

@kungenchrille I never like the sewers, in almost any game...I think it was Spoony that said "a sewer level is probably the single most effective way of draining my enthusiasm for a game"...they're always, ALWAYS confusing as hell, hard to maneuver in...just generally tedious.

@Danceofmasks Blame Activision for this game's flop. They pushed Troika to release it before it was finished, right around the time Half Life 2 was released. The game, and Troika, had no chance.

It means you stuffed up the stealth somewhere.

If the door is locked, there should have been a guard right outside that door, and he drops a key.

The AT patch fixes most of the major bugs and and quite a few minor bugs and the Wesp patch adds more content(and some new bugs with the content) and fixes some of the major bugs. The AT patch is recommended if your a purist and overall its a better patch, Wesp's patch is more of a mod to be honest.

Redemption is meh, so take it or leave it.

Has no relation to bloodlines.

Oh, and about Tremere, they're decent, I guess.

Blood strike makes some boss fights a joke, but every clan has their ways to be powerful.

I actually think Toreador are the most powerful, but ... about 6/7 of the players or so ... disagree with me. :P

Thanks, Toreadors are fun to play with, but for me the Tremere are my favourite. i guess that it's because of their style and powers. Oh, and yes... blood strike makes some boss fights a joke lol

I can vouch for Redemption some.

If you are in to games like Diablo, then you would like Redemption. It is more of a dungeon crawler than anything.

I gotta say though, while Zero Punctuation is very hilarious, i find him very biased and as a result, I have a slight distaste for him. Regardless, I love his reviews as musc as I disagree with some of them..

Personal taste is always > someone else's opinion.

I made videos of Titan Quest, Assassin's Creed, and Dark Messiah.

And .. if I were to look at it analytically, those games are quite bad.

But .. what they do for me:

TQ will tide me over till Diablo 3 (so it's medical)

Assassin's Creed has the best idea for a game (though mediocre in execution)

Dark Messiah has the best first-person melee system I've ever seen (though the plot is so bad it's puke-worthy).

Ventrue is PURE AWESOME in this game.

If you have the time, try this next time:

Get Dominate up to 3 ASAP, for dialogue options as well as the Trance/Suicide combo in combat ... makes you invincible vs. humans.

Then focus on Fortitude and your defense feat.

Get that high enough, and nothing in the game can really hurt you ...

As an example, my Briseis music video is a ventrue that tanked everything in the game with a knife ...

Very nice work with the feeding/casting celerity to stack it up. :) I'm obsessed with this game, played and finished it so many times and it's 2008, still not bored of it.

Haha, I take it you've played this game before...?

Very nicely done. I had trouble in some areas...but this helps. I went a different way -- going through a security room instead of a bathroom. I'll try this next time around. =)
