Victoria reminds me of a Scottish fishing port. We are just about to set off for a two week holiday in Sooke, travelling from the UK. Vancouver island is a lovely place with friendly and welcoming people. I am sure Victoria has problems, all towns do, but compared with many other cities that I have visited it is delightful. A three hour flight will take us anywhere in Europe, but like many other British we have chosen Canada, and Vancouver Island in particular, for our summe holiday.
Lol, I live in Down Town Victoria i Personly love it..... And there is No Gangshootings... hell its canada... theres a RARE i mean RARE shooting... well i hope you enjoyed it.
Great video, im not from canada, but i think that almost any city of canada its a great place to live, and Victoria seems like a really beauty place. By the way, wich song plays on this video?
Splendid views of Victoria's famous buildings. On my visits to Victoria, I've always gotten the feeling that the citizens take pride in their city (which is a far cry from a lot of cities in the States).
We do! Victoria is by no means perfect, but we cherish the visitors, the natural beauty, and the local community! Haven't lived here my whole life, however I have found home, and hope everyone comes as our guests.
do you have nothing better to do than complain? we accept our problems and try to deal with them, get your head out of your ass. we dont suffer in victoria, we live. nowhere is perfect, victoria has homelesness and toronto area has polution. accept it and fix it, that is what has to happen.
I moved out of Victoria three years ago. The poverty and homeless people was a sad situation. The city dumping raw human waste into the ocean was deplorable. Visitors to Victoria have no idea how much people of that city suffer to stay there. Car theft is high, and employment opportunitys are virtually non-existant. Young people should get out of Victoria as soon as they graduate, or they will be lining up at the
I don't know where you get your info from, but Victoria has one of the lowest unemployment rates in Canada, very little crime And more it was rated #1 city in Canada for 2009.
Yes, I admit we have a problem with homeless people and affordable housing. Other than that, It's a GREAT city to live in.
Hi arsen83 - I lived on Quadra St. for two years. Our church members there lived in poverty, the wage were low, and nobody could get a full time job. Esquimalt had the highest car theft rate in Canada, I had all four wheels taken off my car. Wilson Transportation was only paying bus drivers $12. per hour... LOL
There is no meaningful employment in Victoria, except for government workers.
Even Island Breweries paid $10. per hour. Breweries here pay $24. per hour.
@Normalman48 Last post to you my good sir, if you don't like it here then good, you left. The esquimalt stat you pulled out of your ass, so there's a lie. I don't understand how you can not like a city but obsess over it so much to go on ever video about it and bash it! Like screw off and get a life
Where are the photos of City of Victoria Parking assholes writing a parking ticket while people are having dinner inside their friends home?

The city looks more european. I hate places with no architecture like Los Angeles.
