This is to all the people that say you cant use a guitar amp as a bass amp. The amp is an amp. You can plug a bass into a guitar amp and it will work just fine. Alkaline trio recorded their last album through a marshall amp with a marshall 4x12 cab. it sounded pretty sweet to me. All its gonna do is just rob from the low end and boost the high end.

the bass amps are for low frequencies...

the design of the amp is done for an especified freq interval... there are different filters in a bass amp from a normal amp

lol fuck yes, i think bass amps have smaller speakers or some shit, because theyre amplifying shit at low ass frequencies, guitar amps can't go that deep, i think if you play bass on ur guitar amp u can screw it up, if u crank the volume it can suck the speaker right out of the cabinet

It matters. If you are playing bass you have to use a bass amp. Playing on a regular amp will produce sound but it won't be as good, and if you play long on it will break lol, because the regular amp is not used to the low notes...

ibanez makes some decent basses but you need to spend around 370ish to get a good one but i have a cheap" bass a Squire JBass 5string plays like a beauty and for the price (220) it was a steal depends on your style
