With the new quad core iMac there is no point in getting the mac pro base model, 1 Gb more ram, bigger HDD, same amount of video ram (it has the ati card you would have to pay more than $200 to upgrade to), it is capable of using the same amount of ram, has a built in 27" display and $800 cheaper or about $500 cheaper with a faster Corei7... Lets hope those new mac pros come soon!
Haven't seen them, but I thought they were the same except the direction in which the cord comes out of the plug -- and that was the same as the one in the Air.
I'm not sure it qualifies as "pressure" sensitive. The surface doesn't bend in. It is "touch" sensitive like a trackpad. It might use the same sensors as in the latest MacBook glass trackpads.
I'm trying to tell myself I don't need a new imac! My 24" is only 4 months old. You had a lot more details than most of the other mac you-tubers. New speakers? Didn't know that, and other points.
Where is the best place to sell my new 24" imac, lol! Craigslist??
No, simple ergonomics. for basic tasks its fine, but for serious precision a different mouse is better. Apple has a bad track record with mice. another flaw, is try to imagine doing a finger swipe and while moving the mouse, its going to be difficult. you will have to stop for a second than do a swipe.
I would refrain from saying something "sucks" if you haven't even tried it. I thought I wouldn't like the Mighty Mouse, but it turns out to be pretty good. I don't see how a swipe is any different than a scroll wheel or ball movement -- in fact it should be easier. I'm looking forward to trying it out.
it doesnt look ergonomically comfortable cause its so flat and thini. i can just imagine my hand hurting but not a bad idea to try something out of the box when you have the money to lol
Love the new iMacs, but i also love the wired keyboard I myself have a 24" Alu iMac top range and its perfect all i need tbh is SnowLeopard and a wireless mouse since the mighty mouse breaks almost on day of usage
I've got the 21 inch iMac, its great and all but its very confusing to use mac for a change. oh windows, how i yearn for you haha

mac pros are for for use. the reason they cost more is that you can take of the lid easier. thats it

The new quad core is awesome, I have also read that there may be 6 and 12 core mac pros coming soon!

Quick ? With the new mouse how do move/grab icons, pictures ect. It wasn't shown in their demo.

Just like a normal mouse. When you press on the surface it acts like left and right buttons.
macmostvideo 2 years ago
So it's pressure sensitive? Tap to click and press to grab. By the way I think you make great videos. Keep them going.

anyone know if the magic mouse has physical buttons or is just like a small little trackpad i want physical buttons for games =/
linkinpain 2 years ago
No physical buttons. It senses touch on the surface. Sounds like it would be better for games to me.

I love the magic mouse! Nice video!

the 27" imac uses desktop hardware, that is why it supports more ram than the previous models.
btw the magic mouse sucks, do yourself a favor, go buy a better mouse.

Do you have the Magic Mouse?
