is dewey cox real or not i been looking it up for along time bet just cant find enough info i like the songs i hear from him and if hes not it sure sounds like he could have been
can any of you queers explain that why after watching the "Walk Hard" dvd, you skip past the credits, there's a 30sec. short of a guy singing the main song, and there's words at the corner of the screen saying "The real Dewey Cox, San Francisco California, April 16, 2002" wtf, it's not John C. Reiley either, it's some new guy singing the "Walk Hard" song, with a different voice and all; is he a real guy or what?
Dewey Cox isn't real. Never was real. I think that it is John C. Reiley just with more make-up and stuff. the movie was making fun of Walk The Line which is a memoir about Johnny Cash.
To all the haters saying Dewey Cox wasn't real, I assure you he was quite real. I got to see him in concert at one of his last performances. I wasn't familiar with his music before but being exposed to Cox that night changed my life. Where were you when you got your first taste of Cox?
@toddsmitts You might be surprised to know this, but John C. Reilly went on tour in character to promote the movie and practice getting in character for this movie.
wow...to all the people who think dewey cox is a made up person thats just insulting... he WAS a real person, a great inspiriation and a REAL person..
I find it hilarious that almost every Dewey Cox video i see some idiot that actually thinks Dewey Cox was a real person lol its a parody movie to walk the line people .. come on haha
As Walk Hard heavily references the film Walk the Line, the Dewey Cox persona is mostly based on Johnny Cash; but the character also includes elements of the life and career of Glen Campbell, Ray Charles, Jerry Lee Lewis, Donovan , Brian Wilson and Jim Morrison.
@GLEESON777 - Because a lot stupid people who watched this not realizing it's a parody. Great movie the soundtrack was comical and enjoyable Recommend this movie. OKAY EVERYONE Since Most of you don't realize DEWEY COX represented in the Dewey Cox VIDEO is non existent i'll clear that up for you. Yes there is probably a real person who is named Dewey Cox but The Dewey Cox from Walk Hard is John C. Reily An ACTOR. Walk hard is a parody of Walk the Line as Valader89 Said Earlier
This isnt because i wanna make a hate mail, but if you're making an r.i.p vid for dewey cox, then why not use pictures of the real dewey cox?, thats an actor u are showing there
@Stewerrvideos No Sorry, they don't . This movie is making fun of another movie Walk The Line which is based on Johnny Cash who is a real, person. Dewey Cox is not real.
@Stewerrvideos yeah, they show John C. Reilly again, but dressed to appear old, and they change his voice, so as to give the impression that he was a real person. watch it again, and you'll see it's the exact same actor.
@420gump Hey Fuck-Nut, "While clearly a minority, some people still need the following clarification: Dewey Cox (John C. Reilly) is not, and never was, a real person, and Walk Hard is not his biopic. Going in with the knowledge that this is, in fact, a spoof music biopic (primarily taking aim at Walk the Line) makes the movie a whole lot more enjoyable." Sorry to make you feel like a complete fucking idiot. But you called someone out, so, you pretty much deserve this.
i want to find the 'have you heard the news' parody song on its own, the full version that played during the credits of the movie, but cant find it anywhere.
check this out, i fell asleep to have u herd the news, and at that transition between sleep and awake, i dreampt of people being tortured...anywasy...i didnt havea good day :/ but i love the song :D
