But it is a high growth stock... it is just usually the case that high growth stocks are tech companies like Apple, a few years ago AAPL's PE was just as high, the question is if American Apparel's growth can hold up like Apple's, which is not easy
that's what I meant, app just doesn't operate in an industry that can give her that much growth, i would have agreed if it was in technology but i mean in clothing?
I'm not following their earnings announcement and how they stack up vs analysts estimates, but I think the company is a bit over hyped.
Yeah, I think we are in agreement... the company is probably trading that way because it is still considered "optically cheap" if you know what i mean...
Huge Respect for what you guys are doing. Just wish i lived in America and i could come meet you all at the party. Im studdying for a Masters in Engineering With Management and these videos explain stuff so well.
Isn't beta kind of total nonsense? From reading Random Walk Down Wall Street (my favorite book) it seemed like a real rear-view mirror calculation. There's no actual way to determine beta for the future...it would require you to be a psychic.
The way that i like to use it is to help me determine the "personality" of a stock, most stocks have personalities and a way that investors in general perceive it. Investors have favorites and dogs... they may love apple but murder liz claiborne etc.... even if historical, it can help one feel out how other investors think of a stock's potential and that perception may become reality thru trading
So glad i subscribed to your channel. Very good stuff here

I would have thought that you would look at market cap first to assess risk. I guess I need to fix my face and read some books... ;(
