Unexpectedly it lacks those noisy bands usually anthems have, its calming.

btw, our flag has similar colors as Irish flag.

  • @SoulTitan2012 god bless you..from an irish lad who lives in the states now...lets just all get the fuck along..

  • @MrTheleprechaun The Irish want to get along. We'd love to get along. being occupied does not 'getting along' make.

  • Yes, Irish sound very good, I enjoy learning languages and I'd like to know some basics of the Irish language but, unfortunately, there is just an incomplete wikibook on the Internet. I'll have to search more carefully. Anyway, Irish seems a beautiful yet strange language, it fascinates me!

  • @emanueledepinto scottish with a bit a whisky jk

  • Is Gaelic taught in Irish schools?

  • @emanueledepinto Yes, it is compulsory to learn Irish unless you have emigrated after you're 11th birthday. I am 14 and it is one of my favourite subjects at school!!

  • go raith maith agat! hehe i did it for the gealtacht in galway! hehe ros muc! any 1 herd of it or gone? xxx

  • Gaelic is beautiful. Wish there was a place around here that I could take lessons.

    Awesome post, thanks!

  • @pigfaceddog only if you are a true and profound fan of Ireland. I'm afraid it just isn't worth it if you are none. There are only a few percent true native speakers left in Ireland, the rest de facto speak English. I think that within the terms of our lives Irish-Gaelic will probably share the fate of Medieval Latin - certainly used officially, taught and understood, and used at solemn occasions (anthem etc), but no longer the mother tongue of anybody.
