@tungchankiet Some of us Big Noses aren't as stupid and soft as you think. Down with Mao and down with the Chinese Communist Party, No matter how cowards in the West support the Communistges, Freedom will previal and your Communist masters will fall.
Also, there are more than a few great articles (especially in the American Thinker) that specifically address who Obama's father may have been. The Communist Frank Marshall Davis tops the list, and not just because he was a pornographer who belonged to the American Communist Party. Frank Marshall Davis actually spent significant time in Hawaii "mentoring" the adolescent Obama (and as Davis later bragged, having sexual relations with Ann Dunham, Obama's mother).
And Van Jones, Obama's former "Green Jobs" Czar, was a practicing Communist when Obama hired him (and Obama knew that). Van Jones is also one of those so-called idiotic "Truthers" who think 9/11 was an inside job. (I’m still not sure why the media asked Van Jones what he thought of Obama getting Osama -- Van Jones doesn't even think Osama was responsible.)
Anita Dunn, Obama's former White House Communications Director, openly spoke of her affection and support for Mao, even going so far as to hang a "Chairman Mao" Christmas tree ornament on the National Christmas Tree.
This is standard military protocal when dealing with guests from foreign countries. Please go do some research on the topic. And also understand that this is an exchange program and a dozen MMA cadets are in China doing the same thing at the Shanghei Maritime Academy. Seriously guys, go find something else to bewiddle and embarrass, there is nothing here out of the ordinary. And if you knew anything about the Maritime Industry you would know China is a large counterpart of the US.
@NatlCapitolBarbell Flying a foreign flag on state property is against state law. While I don't know much about the maritime industry, I know that COSCO is an arm of the Chinese military. COSCO ships weapons to nations hiostile to the U.S, ships illegal drugs into Canada, guns to inner city gangs in the U.S. and even slaves-some have been found dead. The US sends China jobs, machinery from U.S. factories that have shut down due to our nation's self defeating policies deomestic and foreign.
@NatlCapitolBarbell Back in 2001, a number of us in Boston tried to stop COSCO from setting up shop. We had a few city counselors that pledged to conduct an investigation. We had a U.S. senator and the former Joint Chief of Staff-a Navy Admital ready to testify for us. But a "private" meeting in the office of Congressman Steve Lynch with those who had a monetary interest in COSCO got the counselors to back off.
China is the most genocidal regime in human history. In the 20th Century it murdered over 70 million of its own people and continues to do so while harvesting the organs of political dissidents (while they're still alive). China also illegally occupies four separate countries: East Turkestan, Tibet, Southern Mongolia, and Manchuria. In short, this flag is like the Nazi flag on serious MSG.
Any reputable reporting would have gotten an interview with the President of the school to explain exactly what is going on. This is the type of propaganda that is frowned upon in our culture. You are on the same level as the people of Westboro Baptist Church! You should be ashamed.
@NatlCapitolBarbell We actually did. He came over after the camerman put the camera away. It was too bad that his comments weren't video taped. He said that it wasn't a big deal that the Chinese Communists spy on us and he saisdthat the U.S. is mostly intereted in leisure time nit ship building. I asked him how long can we be a free people if we are only concerned with leaisure time.
@NatlCapitolBarbell What you would have gotten was lies. Sadly enough the "president" (or falsely labeled "Admiral") is a businessman with no pride of Country or Academy. Hence his response to the media over this video. Honoring our exchange students? Because they salute the American flag at Shanghai Maritime? Irrelevant. This is America and we pay honor by ALLOWING the exchange program to better our Maritime Industry. There is NO NEED to salute the flag during a weekly ceremony.
@NatlCapitolBarbell Furthermore, the Honor Guard was completely incorrect, as the gentleman spoke of, to display our flag in any position other than the center.
The saddest part of this man's rant was that the part about the cadet's having no choice in the matter, other than to do as instructed, is correct. This Academy was once about honor and discipline; once taught to cadets through senior level cadets. There was a definitive Chain of Command.
@NatlCapitolBarbell Now, Academy paid officials (particularly ex-Marines and ex-Army) are more-so in charge of the lesson of discipline. Once, lessons were learns through cadet to cadet mediation and extra duty to instill an INCENTIVE to act appropriately. Now, cadet discipline is handled purely with a demerit system; a count of negative "points" given for bad behavior. Too many acquired gets "the boot" as he said.
@NatlCapitolBarbell Laziness has prevailed. It takes more time to work with a junior cadet to teach a lesson than it does to administer a number based punishment system.
So, sadly, this is the case here. Cadets may not care about saluting China's flag; but the one's who DO, have to be concerned about losing their HARD EARNED education over the revolt.
I support the Chinese exchange program, as with any future planned. The Maritime Industry is vast and not constricted to country or state.
@NatlCapitolBarbell and as an individual, and Alumni, I encourage these young people to see the world and encompass other cultures as much as they can. I know I did, having been to over 30+ countries and having lived in 3.
But the simple fact remains, cadets being forced to sacrifice they're personal beliefs and honor to country is appalling. I don't expect SMU to salute our flag everyday or us to salute China's. Respect another's culture but a salute is sacred to one's own flag.
@NatlCapitolBarbell Let's see. We showed a flag of Communist China in the honor guard. What part of that don't you understand? What explaining needs to be done? There has been a love affair betrween the Elites in the U.S. and the Communist Chinese ever since General Marshall bragged about disarming fifty Nationalists divisions with a stroke of a pen ,but that doesn't mean Americans have to tolerate one of the world's most oppressive regimes
shame on you.
