I'm finding out more and more that most ppl that go out and buy a brand new shiny superbike are just poser losers that can't ride. And the guy on that ratty beat up old bike can will pwn the posers all day(don't mean the gix 1100 was ratty or beat up but my point is clear).
a zx 10 and r 1 are not bikes for a dragrace, why? cause they have a short whellbase and the front is to light on this bikes, of course they are very fast and more advanced then a 1100 gixxer but the main purpose is to ride them on the track, i sold my 91 1100 gixxer a few days ago cause i have a busa , but with a good rider at the quarter mile the 11 gixx is a zx 10 , r1, killer , a good 1100 gixxer mainly oilcooled is the perfect bike for a dragrace and the engine can take more punishment

yeah your right they do weigh that, but for the size of the engine and the bike they are a light bike compared to others in its time, like a gpz 1100 which weighed about 580-590 i've got a 87 slabside gsxr 1100 but it still does 150 with ease, never tried flat out havent got the balls around the british motorways, maybe somewhere closed off, knowing my luck some old bag will pull out in a bentley while im trying to get passed on a motorway and wipe me out

The 1990 gsx 1100 has 143hp, weighing 240kg (including oil, water, gas etc). The zx-10 has almost 180hp, and a weight of 178kg dry. With all the fluids the bike weighs about 210kg..
