  • My favorite ABBA song.

    George Vreeland Hill

  • Those were the days when an audience weren't holding up mobile phones..

  • Comment removed

  • Shame they are miming it, as they can bloody well sing live.

  • This proves dancing is seriously un-cool.

  • i will forever love abba!!

  • I wish I was around in the days of ABBA, i'm 21 and by 1990 they'd finished performing as a group. Would have loved to have gone to Wembley to one of their concerts. I think the best song to be performed live was `Hole In Your Soul`

  • @davidatcuwclubnet I am 21 and was born in 1990 and I am also a massive ABBA fan and I from the UK.

  • Uh...probably not a good idea to kiss the teacher in this day and age. Just saying...

  • @SUCKMEISTER005

I always saw the teachers more as parents figures since I've spent most of my time at school, but I suppose not everyone thinks like that. Anyway, girls can always say it was just a pure and innocent experiment in the name of science (they wanted to see if what ABBA said in this song is true). LOL obviously I'm just joking.

  • im 38 and grew up wiv them too i had the abba socks andmy mum was a great fan i still listen to them now.

  • I grew up with ABBA when I just heard them in my teens in the seventies. I am 52 now and I still think they have some evergreens that will stay like "Thank You for the music" and "I have a dream".

  • that beautiful folded sound....bright , like scandinavian summer daylight

  • I am an ABBA fan, yet I can't help suspecting that this song's basic chorus melody was kinda nicked from Middle of the Road's "Samson and Delilah"... If you guys don't know what song I'm talking about, listen to it yourselves and tell me what you think - /watch?v=2Tho2NZpEcE

  • @christomir HI !! It always seems to me that also, from the first time I heardt it in 1977,You're Agree !!!!!!!!!!!! wow! I'm amaze that I finally found somebody who also relate both songs , grettings from Mexico !!

  • class.

  • By the present standard, if their isn't a shirtless black man grabbing his balls while jumping up and down, then it isn't good music.

Today's youth got the shaft -- and they don't even know it!

  • super 70,s.

  • One of these days

Gonna tell him I dream of him every night

    One of these days

Gonna show him I care, gonna teach him a lesson alrigh

  • Oh AGNETHA-still the epitome of CASUAL CHIC and EFFORTLESS STYLE whilst PREGNANT (I presume). And what a VOICE!

  • So much better than the talentless rap horseshit of today.

  • Kissing a teacher does not mean having sex. Each of us have a model in life. And teacher is our best model. For me is still my teacher of English. I am a she and she is a she but I a married i have two daughters and SHE her own life if she is still alive as I am 47. So dears never mix sex and kiss as it is two different things.

  • @mirelacolan Ha, except s/he sings, "I dream of him every night, one of these day I'm gonna show him I care, gonna teach him a lesson alright." This idealisation of someone older wiser stronger etc; followed by erotic fantasy; then a determination to put those dreams into effect, and so return the bliss offered by someone with even great delicious ecstasy ... to teach the teacher. The lyrics are pretty hot! Truly, we show our highest regard for each other by imaging erotic intimacy. ♥ andrea

  • Kiddies That is what real vocal Music talent sounds like!

  • i love you agnetha...

  • seriously this is one of the best opening song for a pop album... it's a subversive candy pop attack... sure that Dave Grohl (ex-Nirana,Foo Fighters) is a fan of this one... He said many time that one of his few fav. band was ABBA ... and there's a lot more popular (heavy) rockers who are just mad about ABBA... no musical boarders can stop the effects of their gracious pop

Honestly i think that they are superior to the Michael Jackson recordings... even if we can hardly compare them...

  • she must kiss me , not the teacher :-)

  • These were the days when love was still innocent.

  • it's subtily subversive... sweet and rebel at the same time.... it's nearly impossible to do in our "modern days" ...

  • ABBA had the best stage presence of any group. I wish I had been that teacher! :)

  • aaaah.... la música de los años 80 .....Grandiosa.

  • @Tractor960 hey... it was released in 1976.... as the opening track of the album.... this is NOT the 80s... the production the lyrics and the music.... it's clear as an Iceberg that this song is from the 70s.... you can really feel it ... (if you have some deeper "experience" in the history of pop-rock music....)

  • Agnetha....what a babe !!!

  • ABBA best band EVER!! always have and always wil be my fav band their music is legendary, and the swedes are, i think the best music makers of the world, even now ,

  • LOL, the brunette needs dancing lessons.

  • Agnetha rox.

  • I´´m not a fanatic nationalist but....proud to Swede when listen to this, what a beautiful music we made back in the 70`s, and still we create some good music !

  • ABBA will never get old,can cover all ages

  • ABBA si, si, siiii!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I regret not kissing my teacher 20 years ago hehehe Love ABBA

  • This song reminds me great moments ;) hehehehe!!! not just kissed the teacher.. I also..... ehehehe ;)

  • Abba. One of my favourite groups as a child.

  • I was mad about my maths teacher. She sang for the class one end of term day ;she was an ex-professional singer and sang like an angel. From then on I was a love struck school kid and she had my heart for a long time afterwards although it was my secret. street preacher.

  • It's funny how no one even questioned the lyrics. This would be considered a scandal these says.

  • @superjtrdr I'm pretty sure it was a scandal back then too.....

  • This brings me back to school days when a girl would want to kiss the teacher. ;-) Brings back great memories!

  • @carouselgal

Yes, there is something in this song that make hear it again and again

  • I'm polish and I was 9 when ABBA came to Warsaw. Oh boy, I will never forget that show on TV in program Studio 2. Even today when I watch this permormance it makes my flesh creep :-)

  • their only mistake mistake was that they messes their personal life with their job

  • you not what anoys me is agentha gets all the attention (i love agnetha by the way) but i think frida is georgous and has beatiful voice

  • This is my favorite Abba song of all time. It is very Wagnerian.

  • @sac6013

    Great! Yes indeed!

  • @sac6013

    Great! Yes indeed!

  • i love you forever!

  • when i was at primary school i had a pop band we would stand up and sing in asembley much to the anoyance of the rest of the school. basically it was always the latest abba hit we three would sq wak out and at some point my bright idea was to do this song . well you should have seen my face turn beetroot at the look on the headmasters face that day in asembly ...................................

  • ABBA´s muisc has more rythm and flow then the techno shit and studio trash of todays music.....

  • I'm lovin' it 8)

  • it was a very well done TV special, even though it was produced by the communist TVP (studio 2).

  • Einf nur schön!!

  • abba is the best!!! ♥

  • Fantastic song. Just watched it 3 times on the spin. Thanks for posting this video clip - great picture and sound quality superb. Great to see the audience dancing away to this classic. Abba had so many great songs.

  • The teen-oriented television dance show was on the way out, I think on a simultaneously worldwide basis, another 10 years along (see American Bandstand)...the evolving dominance of music videos was certainly a big part of this...

  • The best of all their tv specials

  • That scene must've been challenging for the girls not to fall down. It sure gave them best memories from Poland. When I saw Anni-Frid trying to dance some on it, I was like "watch out honey, don't fall down", lol.

  • @ggu2b det

  • Love this song, one of my fav Abba songs ever.

  • Those babes sang so good and looked so lovely, and their husbands rocked on the instruments.

  • Today, pop artists spend so much making their music videos, and tweeking their voices on auto-tune so their target market - brain dead video game, myspace and twitter loving kids- will buy their music. Today they can only copy real talent like this - selling oneself in a video so people buy it. What an awe inspiring group, its a shame they are still not around today for us to enjoy. Stunningly beautiful girls, unlike the trashy artists today who need to be naked or act like lesbians. BooooRING!

  • If Freida came to rub my face, I wouldn't push her hands away........

  • This clip was recorded during a concert ABBA in Poland

  • This clip was recorded during a concert ABBA in Poland

  • When i kissed Agnetha!! one of these days!

  • @abbasupertroupers me too

  • ya know I see Agnetha in all these videos and if you wach you'll see her dancing and while it's cute these set lttle dances they had for each of they're songs I see her almost bustin loose and then she reels it back in and just once I would love to see her really break loose with one of those dances she looks like she new some really great moves an I for one would love to see it

  • @SCRWOOD what ?????????

I love this song, i'm doing it for a talent show

  • What can you say, love it! I agree with imarkley, the layers in the vocals and fantastic music compostion make ABBA an historical reference re music in the 20/21 Century. They had it all, looks, moves, sound. Their music is still relevant. I'm going to see Mamma Mia in May 2010!

  • This song is a perfect example of what I love about Abba the most. The many layers of vocals, different melody lines in the background. Brilliant arranging. At the end, where Frida is singing "I wanna Hug Hug him" is the part where I scream at the top of my lungs in the car, trying to keep up.

  • el corason de sifrido

  • I like this clip. You can feel the energy of it and you can tell they're having a good time performing it.

  • MEG VI KUNDE INTE GORA DET IDAG ;)

    ha ha :)

  • i love it.

  • Agnetha always looked good in white.

  • White is appropriate for an angel, don't you think?

  • Hi:

The couple of voices is perfect, the rhytmun, the Agnetha's solo, I think is one of the best from Abba, I hear their songs almost all days

  • I swear, I never fell in love with a teacher but I love this song!

  • great song great rhytem

  • Who are you to say that?!

  • WANKER

  • Well I don't know much about the band's history. Tell me more.

  • @richardsonjames1971 And HOW do you know that she wasnt COMPLAINING?! In interviews given before and after their demise BJORN always acknowledged that AGNETHA's FIRST PRIORITY was her FAMILY/CHILDREN,which in hindsight led to many arguments and TENSION within their MARRIAGE. And if you OBSERVE a little closely whilst watchin most of their STAGE/CONCERT performances and PROMOTIONAL VIDS Agnetha was ALWAYS the MST RESERVED and at times UNCOMFORTABLE out of the BAND

  • Everytime i heard this song i love the most, one day will be my fave song from abba

  • oh wow that guy was so lucky!! =D

  • how ife changes

  • Yes these lyrics that were innocent then would be dubious today - and I doubt that they would write them now! And we no longer get audience friendly performances like this or youngsters dancing like this either - or songs of this high quality!

  • @abbafanglosuk Great to hear this number back to the good old days Abba whas at that time graet thanks for posting it.

  • @Yorkshiregirl1967 I agree, unfortunatly times change and quality has diminished a lot in our modern world along with personal interation

  • that guy at 1:35 is sooooo lucky..i wish that was me there... although i would have prefered agnethas hands on my face :p

  • No way! I would have kissed Anni-frid! Benny was all the way over on the piano, he wouldn't have known....and they weren't married yet anyway!

  • SUPEER!!:D

  • Yes this is a great song and performance!

  • abba the best forever !!!!

  • Even their less heard songs like this are unique classics that stand the test of time!

  • ABBA is definatly a 20'th century fenomena which has really powerfull magnetic attrection in it's music. I wish I was born in the in the country where I could go and see them life. The stars must of alligned for ABBA to be born and shine I hope for ever.

  • Yes it was erxtraordinary that 4 such talented people could come together as 2 couples to form a group in Sweden to give us so many great songs like this!

  • Laughing my ass off at the "dance moves" of some of the people in the audience. ;P

  • This song rates up high on my list of favourites, I love it. I still remember as a kid dancing in the living room every Saturday morning to ABBA on the TV. When my friend stayed over, like the rest of the world, we'd get the hairbrushes out and fight over 'who was going to be the blond one'. Now I'm a grown up, I can really appreciate Anifrids beautiful voice, and her looks. She's still a stunning lady, with a stunning voice.

  • I am LOVIN' the dance moves.

  • Frida has such a sultry, sexy and adorableness about her that defies description! I love her voice.

  • Yes it was amazing that Abba had two of the best looking girls in pop as lead singers and they both had great voices!

  • Definitely one of ABBA's best. Reminds me of my teenage years.

  • I didn't know they were allowed to perform in countries that belonged to the Eastern Bloc at the time. The audience was having great fun by the look of this.

  • yes, we were allowed to listen to the music. We were allowed actually more than you can expect.

  • Well... one more thing - I am sure that during 1979's there was more freedom in the communist Poland then in Franco ruled Spain.

Greetings from Gibraltar (British - Siempre!)

  • I don't think there was a lot of freedom in any of them. I could care less about Gibraltar's status? You want to be British? Fine, I'm Basque after all...

  • Sad to say that Björn Ulvaeus, is reported to have lost his memory. He can't even remember the good times when with ABBA?

    God bless!!!

    Remember the GOOD times!!!

  • Yes its sad - Bjorn is among the best lyricist's there has ever been and The Winner Talkes It All is genius level! But it's only his distant memory he's lost, his short term memory is still good! He still composes with Benny and travels around and enjoys life. He went to all the recent Mamma Mia premiere's and is regularly interviewed!

  • everyonehashisownopinion!whatakinkyandstupidtextfrombjorn!souncompatibillityandthefirstsequenzetoknowthatagnethahasanaffairwithherkissingteacherbjorn! Bjorn,soabsolutelyclosetoherheart!

    Bjorn, warmandtender"Rockme"-voice!

  • @zlatanja666 There's something in this world called the Spacebar. oh well... XD

  • lovee this songg!!

    lovee abba!!!

    one of my favs!!

    thanks SOOO much!!

  • OMG great song

  • legs that go on and on and on! perfect!

  • This is my favorite ABBA song!

    Thank you!!

    George Vreeland Hill

  • Great song but you can't call it a performance when you lip synch the songs

  • AGNETHA RULES!!

  • I love this song

  • Poland my country and this! Extra! :] 1976...

    1976... 1976... ahhhhh.... ABBA years :D:D

  • God I love that Agnetha Strut in this video.

And on the 8th day God created!!!!!

  • Thankyou god for giving us ABBA.Thanks for uploading this video.

  • very sad song!!!

  • Agnetha is perfect!!!!!she rocks♥

  • should have been released as a single as well as 'TIGER' & 'THAT'S ME'.

  • my uncle was in the audience in that show. he was 25 then

  • Omg! That looks like so much fun to be there dancing with there amazing music, ABBA are so the best group that ever lived!

  • 2 wonderful voice!

    2 wonderful women!

  • i really dont know which one of them i like better,Frida or Agnetha!!! their voices are so perfect, sound so wonderful together!!! I LOVE THEM SOOOO MUCH and my biggest wish is to meet them!!! i love you abba

  • Great song! Love ABBA! One of my favorites! Alexei Heather of Alberta Canada

  • John, I have to agree with you on this one, it truly was Agnetha's song and she really shined. Agnetha's was outstanding here. Thanks for posting .

  • I LOVE ABBA!

  • Yes, their timeless songs appeal to all generations Rosalie! Abba remain as popular as ever even after 30 years.

  • they will live on forever, wonderful memories of my youth

  • this song is fantastic!!!

  • Yes this is one of Abba's most underated songs Cadaith! There's a nice guitar intro, a super solo from Agnetha, and some great singalong verses. Its just right for those schoolkids to dance to!

  • yes, it'a a great videoclip!!

  • Hello,I am Japanese. I am Paul McCartney's fan, and I love ABBA. My favorite song is 'Knowing Me Knowing You' and the secondly favorite song is 'When I Kissed The Teacher'.

    ♪One of these days

    gonna tell him I dream

    of him every night

    one of these days

    gonna show him I care

gonna teach him a lesson alright♪

Her beautiful voice of this part is particularly splendid.(Agnetha)

The splendid song is splendid forever.

  • Hello Paul, you sing very well. But of course beautiful Agnetha sings this solo part much better! The range of her voice is fantastic, she can reach all the high notes needed for this song perfectly!

  • AGNETHA YOU'RE THE BEST!!

  • Yes not only was Agnetha a fantastic singer with a great vocal range, she was also a very talented songwriter. She had a successful solo career before and after Abba. There will never be anyone like her again!

  • a freaking masterpiece!

  • Agree with that! You don't see performances or hear songs like this anymore. Your countrymen are the best group ever!

  • You know what sucks about this? The fact that it really makes me wish that I could have been there and takes the fact that I was born in the 90's and rubs it in my face! XP

  • I know exactly what you mean. It's impossible to get a performance or song anywhere near as nice as this today. I don't listen to anything after the 80's. The standard of today's music and artists is grim when compared to the inventive 60's and 70's. You can see how much the audience are involved and enjoying this when the girls dance and sing amongst them. This could never happen today unfortunately. Abba were the best at putting the audience first!

  • Me tooooo! I wish I could have seen a live concert of ABBA when they where still together :'(

  • Abba concerts were always hugely successful. Their two 1977 performances at London's Royal Albert Hall received 3.5 million requests for tickets, enough to fill the venue 580 times. They performed an unprecedented six sold out nights at London's Wembley Arena in 1979. And Abba-mania hit Australia when they toured there in 1976 and 1977! They also did successful tours in Europe, Japan and USA.

  • I LOVE IT

    YIHA

  • You've got very good taste for a youngster, well done. I'd sure like to attend the same school as these 2 yummy girls!

  • First time I remember seeing them do this one live. I have seen the studio version a lot of times but this is the first time I saw it done live. I like it much better here! Great stereo sound really enhances AGGY'S already unbelievably great voice! I am still trying to catch up on your great videos, John!

  • Likewise Dallas, the classroom video is on dvd and there's plenty of copies of it floating around Youtube. Its much more pleasing to see them perform this live, particularly where there is good audience interaction as here. We get some good close ups of Aggy's strong solo singing. I'm still catching up with some of my backog too Dallas!

  • Ohhh I love this song!

Agnetha look sooo pretty here ;)

I like the location "What a crazy day!"^^

  • Yes my favourite part too...It's clear best friends with the "same" soul!

  • Hi Anna, I've just seen your new "Agnetha in action" background - it's brilliant, very well done! Cheers from John.

  • Thank you John! I like your backround too it shows the powerfull side of Agnetha!!

  • Yes I better not make any mistakes, don't want to upset her!

  • Hi Anne, yes I can imagine that schoolkids in particular will like this song. We get some really nice close-ups of beautiful Agnetha here. That cat walk they use to dance amongst the audience while singing is a brilliant idea. All 8 songs for this Polish tv special were performed in 4 hours on October 7, after they gave an airport press conference and did a coach and foot tour of Warsaw accompanied by hundreds of journalists. It was a crazy day indeed!

  • Those Polish dancers. LOL!!!

  • Yep, what a lucky auidience to have those 2 georgeous girls dancing alongside, couldn't imagine anything more distracting!

  • AAAMMMMMMAAAAAAAAZZZZZZZIIIINNNNNNGGGG!!!!!!!

    I LOVE this song!!!

well i love all abba songs but this one is one of th best.

And as normal agnetha and frida both sounded perfect

  • Cheers Robyn, is your school fun like this?

  • I wish!!

  • What a voice of Agnetha!Though everyone of us here knows it,i couldn`t resist to say it once again! :)
