Love how they confess love for each other. It's not sentimental, flamboyant or full of romantic rhetoric. Rather, it sounds blunt, straightforward and solid like rock. Both realize they don't need to get emotional or flowery. Their love is right from the genuine heart of sincerity, which they've hold in themselves for long, and its strength is more firm than anything else. They are in a transcendent state.

Did you ever notice there is something a little bit off tune in Ruby Tuesday? The bass is a little too loud, the harmonies aren't fully in key, and it's a bit like a home recording? Just makes it even better. One of the most beautiful moments of the 60 s.

It's interesting that "Fly" and "Needle in the Hay", the songs that highlight Richie's suicide attempt were written by two guys who committed suicide. Nick Drake 27 years before the movie came out and then Elliott Smith 2 years after its release.
