I just want to say that last year i went on a trip to Ottawa to participate in the march. Ive never felt so guilty about something in my whole life. I remember walking by the pro-choice group as they were chanting "hey hey ho ho this sexist shit has got to go!" and i remember thinking i so badly wanna be on the other side of the fence. I am pro-choice now and i just wanted to say that you guys being their was NOT a waste of time and thanks you. MY BODY MY RIGHTS.

I personally do not think that in this situation you can just automatically go to one opinion. It takes research and a lot of thinking. But don't ask other people to sacrifice just because you personally disagree. Women need to be given the opportunity to decide how their lives turn out, you know? Also, I have some questions for you "pro-lifers" commenting on here: Are you protesting against ALL abortion? Or do you acknowledge exceptions in instances of, say for example, rape?

Do you also make exceptions in cases where the couple used contraceptives, but in the unfortunate slight chance, failed them? (Indeed in this case, the couple had not wished for a child, took all the procedural measures to safeguard themselves as much as possible, but alas, still ended up pregnant.)

Pro-choice IS pro-life. The need for abortion will not decrease, whether it is legal or illegal in a given country. Hence, to promote the criminalization of legal, safe abortion is to condemn millions of women to opt for unsafe, fatal methods of underground abortion. This would lead to millions of unneccessary and preventable deaths of these women. The so-called "pro-life" side is indeed ANTI-life.
