Oct 16-23 (2010) here & just down the hall (don't remember the rm # or if it's a king or queen bed right off hand) but since it's a honeymoon we sprung for the standard balcony. Great video & looks like next cruise we may be going for a suite ;) We were plesently surprised on the cruise we went on 3 years ago how big the cabins/rooms really are, we too were sorta expecting a 'closet' but they are bigger than they look on the pictures/videos! :)
we stayed in 1290, on the first floor, ut we are a family of five and it was our (kids) 2nd and (parents) third so not too bad, we had an amazing time, iv\cw cream was 2nd best part ever!!!
is that what they call the whirlpool bath? i thought that was only available on the cat 12 suites. Freaking sweet because my girlfriend and I booked a cat 11 room, 7269
you mean the tiny jacuzzi tub, which our room's tub had 2 jets that didnt work, they didnt fix them by the time the cruise ended, i was bummed, it was so ungodly loud too.
Lol, be thankful? I paid to have a tub, what I wasn't thankful for was the lacking service I got at that room type :( Reported the tub broken on day one, they didn't even get a tech into the room till the last day, despite several calls. Oh well my travel agent refunded us a good chunk of $. Plus with the money I won at the craps tables the entire cruise, shore excursions, shopping, and drinks, didn't cost me anything. So I guess I can't complain too much. Was an awesome room, cat 11 rocks!

Oh! My bad. The Balcony Suite is a Cat 11, and the Penthouse Suite is a Cat 12.
Sorry.
However, Cat. 11s also have the whirlpool tub.

If it's like the Carnival Pride's jacuzzi tub, then I don't know what you're talking about. I found it rather enjoyable.
Also, be thankful you even had a tub! All other staterooms below cat. 11 had shower basins only.

my family and I will be staying in the same type of room July 25th of 09. 7317, right across the way.
it's almost identical to the Balcony Suite we stayed on the Carnival Pride back in 04.
Thanks for the recording. I can show my friends this video and say "We'll be staying in this type of room!"
