Hey Mumzimuzi, welcome to the world of fighting robots! These robots are in fact driven by remote control, with their builders safely driving them from outside the arena, protected by Lexan (bullet-proof glass). They are autonomous robots, but they are not as popular as they are much more demanding.
In our fight prior to this one against "The Mortician," several screws that were used to mount the armor were either bent/sheared/missing fromobot after the fight. Rather than look for spares we wrapped the armor back on with lots of duct tape, didn't work as well as we had hoped.
i saw this video by accident can any1 explain me are thouse remote controled machines or do they act on their own?

Great fight...I watched the VD5/Mortician fight and it was brutal. Looks like it held out good for as long as it did....

Worked exactly how I was expecting actually, took one hit or so.
The "rubber tape" was our broken belt that came apart after a quick temp repair we made to it since it broke during the previous fight.
