hard to make a house doc without any chicago dj's. a better source of information would be interviews with derrick carter and dj sneak.

when we say house is a feeling, what we mean is that its NOT a genre... for example a rock song like 7 nation army from White Stripes can be played in a house set. A disco song like Love is the MEssage by MFSB can be played in a house set. A Classic House cut like Can You Feel It from Fingers can be played, A Techno cut like Strings of Life, rhythm is rhythm can be played in a house set, An R+B cut like Another Star by Stevie can be played, thus it's not a GENRE, it's a FEELING.

house is not bad, but techno and trance rule. both were influenced by chicago house, trance took the melodic elements, techno took the rhythmic elements. since house evolved into these two styles, they become better as new genres in the early 90s. house is a light form of underground music, while techno is more underground and hard. trance is overground even up in over the clouds.
