What a treasure! I thought Jessye Norman's recording of Urlicht was the only one I would ever want to hear until I heard Ms. Horne sing this. Thank you for posting this otherworldly beautiful interpretation.
@paulwien65 Never heard such impressive singing of Urlicht. Know Horne as one of greatest German Lied singer (esp Wesendonck, Mahler, Strauss - all at YT) but to express whole mood just at this moment of this giant symphony by single voice is more than a masterpiece. Maryln Horne really understands and internalizes "sehr feierlich, aber schlicht" but there is a last secret why thrilled Mahler would request "da capo" more than once :)
