Blackmore does blues as you can see songs like mistreated, catch the rainbow, lazy, etc. But he also went beyond the blues and talking about those old guys he is the only one who have expermiented with many styles, so for me he is he best of his period, even in 90s he was still doing a great job, the other old guys too but it wasnt as impressive as blackmore.
