  • thanks my friend, this solved my problem, i was searchin for it.

  • how did u get your windows like that?

  • Tried this on the iPad2 but the directory and files are different. What are people using on the iPad2 to remove recents?

  • Nice videocopilot preset for your intro. lol

  • which multitasking tweak works the best? and which one uses more ram and which one less? Please someone answer thank you =)

  • @Annntonnni multifl0w's for sure the best!

  • Couldn't you do this without SSHing? (i.e. iFile?)

  • computer theme?

  • @iProApocaLypsE Sorry, I don't remember.

  • @iPT2gGeec i found it it is called clearscreen sharp

  • my ipod is stuck when i rebooted... nothing is happening!! it is still on the screen where the apple is.. well .. mine is a skull cause ii used greenpoisn to jailbreak..... PLEASE HELP!!!

  • @ipodandphonelover123 If you are able to SSH back in somehow, you should probably locate where you put the .plist, cause you may have put it in the wrong location. If it doesn't ever boot up, then you'll have to restore.

  • @the1azn8 When i tried to restore i had my ipod plugged in and it was downloading the newest firmware but right at the end the skull popped up again and on itunes it said connection error or something like that :( and it didnt work.....i tried this 3times..... when i try to ssh back into my ipod i cant for some reason.. could it be because it is stuck on the rebooting thing.... if you could help me i will subscribe.... :)

  • @ipodandphonelover123 If you can't restore your iPod and it won't boot up, then there's not much you can do. Sorry buddy, you have somehow bricked your iPod. If you could possibly send me a list of what you did before you rebooted, I could possibly help then.

  • You got some mail - 200 or so.. lol

  • Worked great on my iphone 3G! Thank you so much!

  • Does this work on iphone 2G?

  • great video, thnx..

say.. where did you get that beautiful win7 theme , and gadget?

  • Works great. But you need to also mention that when you install Remove Recents, you have to go into settings and set 'Recent Apps Icons' to 'Remove'. Its default setting is 'Transparent'. This was the icons will go away if you don't background an app. Otherwise the apps that are not backgrounded will still appear on the multitasking bar, but they will be transparent. I also change the 'Close Method' to a red minus instead of a black X. But that is a personal preference.

  • @jeffreyrh Thanks for bringing that up. I actually didn't know about that because at the time of this video, there weren't settings for it in the Settings.app.

  • Great video. How come your red badges to remove items from the multi task bar fade out and mine dont, they are ugly

  • Explain this to me, so proSwitcher never worked on Ipod's because proSwitcher was dependent on the multitasking package, and that was disabled via N72AP.plist, and all you did was re-enable it, correct?

  • @graboy12345 No... this video shows how to use Apple's multi-tasking dock with Backgrounder. The reason why I changed N72AP.plist is because some devices have multi-tasking disabled by default meaning you can't get the multi-tasking bar. If you enable the feature in the .plist file, you'll be able to get the multi-tasking bar.

  • thx man.. how come i dun have da lil spin icon indicating da app running beside da icons?

  • thx, nice vid, great tutorial !

  • Great video, I really like this method a lot better then multifl0w because that kept crashing on me. Just a quick question, is there a way to get a springboard icon in the switcher so you don't have to constantly press the home button to go to the home screen? Thanks

  • You don't need a computer all you have to have is iFile .

  • I downloaded ifile from cydia and found the folder and changed on my iPod then resprung and it worked fine I didn't need a computer

  • Hi my N72AP.plist file came up as symbols so i copied to pc and open with notepad and still didnt work Help please

  • @Reddish97 Download the package called iFile from Cydia and then you can browse the files on your iPod with your iPod. You then can edit the document and just restart or respring

  • Thanks worked perfect tried ssh on my pc and loads of symbols came up but then I used ifile from cydia and it worked

  • dude the file (N72AP.plist) has wierd symbols not key true for me. I tried to paste you a little section but youtube rejected it :( so the symbols look like little crucifix and theres tons of other symbols in between too like brackets, # and underscores and dashes. should I still add in the text you said? should i add it in a different way? please help :(

  • @zitfig You need to copy the file to your computer and open it with Notepad for Windows or TextEdit for Mac. If you do that you'll get regular text. Then add in what I told you to and then save the file. Then move that file back to the directory you took it from and replace the old one with the one you just edited.

  • @germangeek007 The application switcher isn't what's causing the lag. Remember, this is a NATIVE way of switching between apps that are being run in the background, this causes minimal lag. If anything, it's backgrounder that's causing the lag because it's essentially running EXACTLY the same as when the app was open. If you have too many apps backgrounding, you'll experience tremendous lag. It's not the app switcher, though, I can tell you that for sure.

  • sorry, I've been checked all the step and there isn't any mistake. But i can't switch the apps! any idea?

  • How to switch to the other apps? I've done all the steps and i don't know how to switch the apps

  • @TheCakra1 Double-tap the home button to bring up the multitasking bar.

  • @iPT2gGeec I think i got mistake at step 5

  • @bennieNougats No because it's a native method.

  • @bennieNougats No matter what device you do this on, it will definitely be less laggy because it is part of the actual firmware, whether multitasking is support by default or not on some devices.

  • SUBBED, great mod, multitaskingkey not on my 3gs ios4.0.1 but added as in vid and works sweet, thanx

  • do you need to be on iOS4 to do this? if so, how can you do this if you've got an ipod touch 1st gen which is unable to be updated to iOS4?

  • lol when i edit my n72ap , my list is almost empty , i dont see dict

  • @cafeworldn3rd Wow, that's really odd. I don't why you wouldn't unless you installed a tweak from Cydia that edited that file for some reason.

  • Hell yeah bro thumbs up for sure this is cool as hell

  • @jackdulaney86 Thanks :-D !!

  • how you get your iphone to show on you computer...wow.

  • @bassgodfather I do it with my Mac, not my PC. It's an app called iDemo for the Mac and then on the iPhone, download an app called ScreenSplitr from Cydia.

  • What weather and drive storage app r u using???

  • @techkidguru For the weather, I have a video on it called "How to Get Weather on Your Desktop (VCoulds Skin for Rainmeter) and for the drives, it's a skin for Rainmeter called "2nd". You can find it on DeviantART(dot)com.

  • why do u need backgrounder?

  • @MrComputerHelp101 Because when you select to not have apps revert back to their native backgrounding, they won't background at all and so you need Backgrounder to allow them to be running in the background. This basically just lets you use Apple's way to switch between apps but it's a different way to keep them running in the background (the "real" backgrounding, if you will).
