  • 2:56 My nightmares.

  • I love how if one of the goodies does something stupid then they get slapped by the others. Poor Bill lolz XDDDDD.

  • thumbs up if you think that the goodies should be revamped and put on again from the very start

  • what is the name of this episode?

  • @kea1994creative

The Episode is called The Goodies Rule – O.K.?

  • @MrTimetraveller thank you =]

  • Absolute classic!

  • They Killer Bill and Ben!! xD

  • The Wombles, Punch and Judy, Dougle The Dog, many more, There are Old School Puppet invade The Goodies.

  • Here Sooty!! I Remember I Grow up with my Friend watching Sooty.

  • Graeme's sideburns are awesome.

  • I think the most funniest show is the goodies thumbs up if you agree!

  • what's the name of the green monster at 3:54

  • @gravitykillsmusic It looked like Oscar the Grouch from Sesame Street!

  • Soo epic. And I'm sorry but does the O.K. mean some sort of place in the UK?? Dont get mad I'm from the US :)

  • @chumshot1 It just means "Goodies Rule - Understand?" in this context. :)

  • @TheExposeTube I thought so!! Lol. But then I saw the "Gunfire at the OK Tearooms" and was like...lolwut?!

  • @chumshot1 it's just how they used to write 'ok' then.

  • @meowool lol OK then XD

  • On Easter, the Comedy Channel was having a marathon of The Goodies and this particular episode was playing... it was a very WTF and enjoyable moment.

  • This episode is now on DVD.Look for the Goodies,At Last,Again.

  • The BBC are fiscal fools. First they cut the goodies, then they kept them off the air for 30 years, now they release some on dvd, other they dont. As businessmen they couldnt manage a piss up in a brewery

  • @623508 Surprisingly, the episode made it to DVD with only one snippet of music replaced (the Beatles' rendition of She Loves You). I guess Bill's cover versions were cheaper to license.

  • Watching this pissed is a good idea lol

  • Comment removed

  • One of the Goodies best episodes ever! It was a Christmas Special. It had great appeal to adults and kids alike back then. I remember watching with my Dad as a 10 year old and we both laughed until we couldn't laugh anymore. It poked fun at all those kid shows of the time. Still brings a great big grin.

I have now gone out and bought all the Goodies DVD's available but alas this episode is not among them.

Will the BBC release it at any point?

  • @cockspurVSOR It's actually on the DVD 'At Last Back For More Again'.

  • Incredible!

  • 1:54

  • sireal man

  • I love Sooty.

  • KILLER SOOTY

  • It's suprisingly more fun than I thought watching a giant dog with a strange mouth and a weird blob attached to a spring demolishing a Georgian mansion.

  • Who would have thought, bill odie fighting wombles then becoming a bird watcher.

  • BBC should really let us see this again on television

  • CLASSIC.

  • I can definitely see why this show gained a reputation as a children's program.

  • That must have cost a fortune!

  • My personal favourite, Thanx :-)

  • Can't wait for the DVD

  • This will be on the NEW Goodies DVD to be released next month - November 2010!

  • The props are really good in this; particularly Dougal and Zebedee!

  • WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEED!

  • Which episode is this from?

  • @Aaron4224 "Goodies Rule - OK?"

  • 6:49 appears at the start of the later episodes of The Goodies. I used to see those and wonder how Dougal got into The Goodies world.

  • I haven't seen this episode since at least 30 years ago. Gotta love that cheesy charm that's often missing from most of today's comedies.

  • i wish they would release the goodies on dvd. or at least put it on tv again

  • @crazyman47 There are about 40 episodes or so on DVD of the 75 ep total.Google 'the Tasty Box',the Goodies at LWT or 'the Goodies at Last,Again'.This episode is on the most recent release. Also, you can stay tuned with Goodies DVDs on the 'Goodies Rule OK'(GROK for short) fan site.

  • great puppet-work...miles better than today's CGI dross.

  • Go Bill, you show those Wombles, ha ha!

  • I really hate people bitching about aload of nothing.Just enjoy the sketch for what it is,which is vintage kids humour, or fuck off out of it.

  • THIS FRICKIN' GOLD!!

    I loved it!!

You don't see this kind of funny anymore! xD

  • I love random humor like this. The energy in everything is enormous! 10 minutes of pure action.

  • The Magic Roundabout gags were my favourites; my family used to love Magic Roundabout.

  • happy memeories of childhood

  • time for bbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbed

  • This was the funniest thing in the world when I was about 10 years old.

I played this to my nieces who are 8 and 10 years old and they were laughing hysterically and wanted to watch it again and again. It's a timeless work of genius.

  • they never repeat the goodies as the bbc is run by a bunch of boring old farts

in the late 70's the dg actually told the boys they'd never work in tv again after they defected to itv

so blame the scumbags at the bbc

they say oh the goodies are old fashioned

then on xmas day bbc2 show dads army and blackadder 3 !

    the cheek of it

  • wow , that's creative

this from a mindless pleb with a penguin as his av

you're prob more of a michael mcintrye fan ( mindless cretin )

    nuff said

  • another brilliant comeback , how do you do it ?

  • the goodies won 3 silver roses of montreux and are cited as inspirations by comedians like the young ones , vic reeves and the league of gentlemen

when you achieve anything approaching that , get back to me

til then stfu and go and sit in the corner , dopey

  • and your point is what exactly.A big hoorah for coming second in an outdated swiss competition that was has been actually won by the muppets and Mr bean so that kind of puts it into perspective.

The Goodies has aged as well as a pint of full fat milk on a summers day.

Get rid of the tank top and loon pants and join the reest of us here in the 21st century.Move on

    Jinks, no comebacks!!

  • are you trolling ? you have to be

    have to be

nobody is that witless aboot the history of comedy

muppets and mr bean , yeah both abject failures , i don't think ( google their achievements ) you CAN use google ??

  • ok , not trolling

    just a fucking child

ian , you're 26 and just a silly little kid

your entire generation sucks as it's arrogant yet has no real experience or intelligence and ignores the past and embraces today's drivel as 'new' and 'exciting'

in my day we had real comedy - milligan , cook , goodies , python , 2 ronnies etc

    what you got - ?

    michael mcintrye

    i rest my case

  • in your profile it says 26

are you some on line weirdo who pretends what age he is then chats to strangers ( probably 12 year old girls on stickam - or boys.. ) , i think so

actually it's more likely to be your IQ

and as for being a cunt , you couldn't ever be one

    cunt's are useful

  • and it says St Micheal on my underpants but its not my name you twatburger

  • How on earth do you come to the cocusion that Im poor?My material wealth is irrelevant to this discourse.(You really are a silly little man arent you.I can see why you think the goodies is amusing)

I assume you are pulling in some middle management tax free salary in the hell hole that is Dubai which makes you think you are some kind of Master of the Universe.

    Really!

  • @flappospammo yes...the beeb are notorious c***s, milligan hated them with a passion. they never repeated "Q" either.

  • this video is awesome!

  • There are a total of 8 episodes available on DVD. In Australia, anyway. I just wish Puppet Power was one of them. When they were new, the Australian ABC did repeat them, and they sold the DVDs in their shops. Released a few years back, but not too hard to source.

  • Actually, there are 16 Goodies episodes. available on DVD in Australia, in ABC shops.

  • Brilliant!! as were all of the Goddies' shows - does anyone know why they have never been seen since, did someone buy the rights to them or something?????

Lord they repeat every other program over and over but never the Goodies, why?

I grew up watching them and LOVE them so would love to be able to see them again without having to buy them on DVD.

  • Giant Dougal is probably the single greatest thing ever seen on televised media. That is all.

  • @PrinceKasuba

    Also "Naughty Old Hector"

  • 5:14 He laughs like Pee Wee!

  • Given the MPs expenses scandal, a puppet government is actually quite subversive. .

  • lol this is sooo funny!

  • it good that sootie finaly got his commupense

  • Now why haven't the bbc made another goodies dvd when clearly this person has found a long lost episode!? Sell this to the BBC! lol :)

  • some one said this epsoide

"The Goodies Rule O.K.?" 1975 Xmas speical would cost to much money for the music rights

  • list of TV Puppets that Appear in this Scene

50's- Andy Pandy, Teddy, Looby Lou, Flowerpot Men, Weed, Stooty, Sweep and Soo

60's- Hector, Pinky and Perky, Dougal and Zebedee

  • I'm 12 and i love the goodies even though i can't watch it because it isn't aired anymore...GO GRAHAM BILL AND TIM!!!

  • I love bill lol

I love the goodies even though I'm so young :P

  • one of their best

  • Ah classic! I hadn't seen this scene for 30 years or so. I used to love all those puppets growing up too!

  • 70s and 80s comedy shits all over recent crap like The Office etc.

  • @Rentaghost76 yes. perhaps you have to be above/below a certain IQ to find "office" funny. either way I think its crap. I loved rentaghost, btw.

  • @mrspivvy Must be happy about the upcoming Rentaghost movie with Russell Brand

  • groovified, eccentrifunk musac that compliments the onscreen anarchy.

  • everyday i get home from school,i would watch without fail the goodies,it was my favourite tv show, thanks for the memory.

  • some guy laughed for like half an hour straight while watching this and then died but i dont really see whats so funny??

  • You have heard of Kung-fu Capers and eckie thump. Tim, dressed as a scotsman fighting Bill, was the cause of the heart attack. The dead man's wife thanked the Goodies for sending him off laughing

  • That's the funniest thing I've ever seen.

  • I've been waiting DECADES to see this again. It quite freaked me out as a small child, especially the first Andy Pandy bit. But all brilliant.

  • Naughty old hector LOL. Priceless

  • I loved this show SO much when I was a kid. This still made me laugh - dread to think what that says about me! Thanks for putting it on youtube

  • yea they still make me laugh to i was young and luvd to watch these guys every night at 6pm on abc(australia)i fell sorry for kids all around the world that never watch this growing up, and mind u im 21 but they were alot a head of my time peace.the gooooooooooooooooooodies

  • I love the goodies!

  • This is brilliant, but have you got the rest of it, please?

  • @dacrlit They used to have a lot of episodes on here, but theyre all gone now I:(

I dunno whats going on. They need to release every episode already.

  • Bill shaved his beard for this episode!

  • I used to piss myself laughing at this as a kid. Not so funny now but it brings back good memorys. Nice one for putting it on youtube.

  • brilliant ain't seen this in ages, the goodies certainly do rule ok?

  • fantastic! my mum is inside one of the wombles costumes, and she hadn't seen this for years!

haha at the wombles beating bill up

  • look at tim in all that hair...

wasnt like that on the 1948 show:)

  • does anyone know who is doing the Punch and Judy puppets?

  • The One who did the Punch and Judy puppet show is a bloke called Jim Syles he has a website I found when i looked under IMDB and you can even e-mail him :) I did and i got a nice personally Signed photo back he's really nice he said he really enjoyed doing the Goodies rule ok episode :)

    cheers

  • I Mean Jim Styles just a error

  • Nearly there...well done! It was John Styles I believe. I only know cause I was taken to see him doing puppet/magic shows in our local park every summer when I was a kid. Always enjoyed his shows, except when he was looking for a 'willing' volunteer. Us kids would always cower away thinking 'please don't pick me...please don't pick me'!

  • My god, that took me back 30 years, and I know I'm not that old!! Don't feel it anyway.

  • I wish ABC would would re-run all The Goodies episodes. It'll never happen though...

  • This is so funny...

  • I saw this as a kid donkey's years ago when it was new- I'd forgotten how funny it was, especially the giant Dougal....

  • Just imagin a dream that you get attack! By puppets!!! It'll be a nightmare, but you might wake up laughing! Or scared still!!!! Thank you! Oh and I love you duerdenn!!! hehehe

  • This absolutely HILARIOUS-in tears of laughter as I type this!!!

Always though TheGoodies took MontyPython one stage further&also has a weird, surreal element

    too&always very,very silly!!!

Thanks for posting-now on my playlist!!

  • wow the music so porno like...

  • it abd they should remake all the old classics i lovd it to me back brilliant

  • Only 35000 views? Why this is the only thing I watch!....EVERRRRRRRRR!....

  • yeah, there were about 20 stunt men under that dougal and they were all swearing, like in charity bounce tim bill and graeme were swearing under those toothpaste tubes

  • Lol... i can't believe they were swearing under Dougal

  • Is there the full episode on you tube. Because this is one of my favorites of all time, I do remember watching this one in the 1970s.

  • creamywhip how did you get al those dvds

  • LOL classic awesome comedy :D

  • you can buy it on dvd in zavvi or hmv in england

  • I wish that they would release the entire series of this, there were so many hilarious episodes I can't remember them all.

  • i have all the series on dvd its so daft and funny one of my earliest memories of comedy on tv when I was a kid

  • where did you get it.

  • What episode is this from?

  • yeah these days there are no british comedys and i think although im ozi british have the best sense of humor

  • why dont they show stuff like this anymore .humor now is laughing at somone getting happyslapped or a group of people being ridiculed

  • they got pushed off the air as the bbc needed the money for hitchhikers guide to the galaxy...

  • Andy Pandys coming to play AAAAAGH

  • Big Dougal gave me nightmares for weeks.

  • I was 7 when I last saw this, why don't they repeat them?

  • i think they can be bothered! stupid BBC! I WANT TO C THEM! IM 11 AS WELL!I WATCHED THE COMBACK. AND THOUGHT THEY ARE FUNNY! SO THEY DID AVENTURLY SHOW 20 REPETS FROM WHEN THEY WERNT WITH THE bbc ! PLZ BRING EPESOIDS SOME ONE

  • I've asked the same question. I've managed to get some episodes on DVD but the release seems to be sporadic at best.

  • @Izzyexile The original master tape may have been damaged.

  • Ah... Brings back old memories. Goodies rock! (Incedentley, one goodies sketch caused the only recorded case of dying of laughter in the last century. A guy's heart couldn't cope with it. That's the way to die!)

  • i heard about that. The man died whilst wacthing the episode ecky thump. His wife said he just kealed over and died witha smile on his face

  • yh that was on the documentary he died of heart attack from laughing so hard

  • i thought the person that died of a heart attack was during the ecky thump fight between the different countries :/ (i think the bagpipes finished him :(

  • lol the flower witch s that 1

  • im 38 and my son is 7 and we both had a good ole laugh! love big dougle what a classic

  • sootey for PM

  • i agree with general consensus that the goodies have been treated very badly by the bbc , the bbc say they won't repeat the goodies as they're dated ,then they repeat only fools and horses , porridge , last of the summer whine (sic ) and other 'old' stuff ad nauseam

    hypocrisy at work methinx

i reckon the fact they left the bbc and went to itv in the early 80's had a bigger effect on their careers than we could ever think

shows how spiteful and small minded those bbc scumbags really are

  • The BBC are a bunch of left wing loonies ,at least this x mass they viewed something worth watching the 1971 Morecambe and Wise x mass show which to me proves that they are desparate,as modern stuff is cheap and crude. There must be some talent out there somewhere!?(reply to flappospammo)

  • LOL.

  • gang busted by the wombles! dear gods that good!

  • not ALL of them only a small select few.. I'd love a complete collection

  • reminds me of the killer rabbit from monty python

  • lol the wombles!

  • brilliant, i wish theyd release them all on dvd or reshow them

  • Me too

  • Did you find this vid though Enclyopedia Dramatica?

  • I have loads of this on dvd as i remember watching it has a child. I actually find it funnier now than when it was originally broadcasted ,it is absolutely brilliant i wish i could get more of it on dvd.

  • Yes, if you look hard on ebay, they pop up every now and again. A few days ago, they had all eight BBC series AND the specials- including the highly saught-after GOODIES RULE O.K.! (Now, obviously these are pirate copies, albeit abso-bloody-lutely brilliant quality ones)

I just ordered series 5-8. Should be in the post soon.

    Happy hunting!

  • Better than the shite they put on the TV these days.

  • Rate this comment thumbs up if you want the BBC to repeat the goodies!

  • naughty old hector!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Goody goody! I've been waiting to see this episode for the past 11 years and it doesn't disappoint! This just has to be the funniest, furriest and funkiest ten minutes of comedy ever ever EVER!

  • I meant too hilarious to describe! LOL!

  • It's Zebedee and Doogal from the Magic Roundabout!

    Dang.

    Too hilarious.

  • These men were the funniest thing ever on BBC and shamefully treated by the way they were abandoned to their own personal problems. it would be marvellous to have them do a show again. Maybe they could team up with Michael Crawford and have a Goodies do ave em type show with lots of their own sophisticated comedy.
