MON BLANC The little boy handed the piece of blanc paper to the young man who carefully screwed it up into the shape of a ball, and then unravelled it. At first he didn’t notice anything, he looked to the little boy and then again at the blanc piece of the finest white papier and noticed that it wasn’t blanc it was beautiful, it was a picture of the mountains, created by the shadows dancing in the sunlight, beside a lake of light.

Art is an expression, inventive by nature, drawn from a mountain of knowledge that already exists and can only be enhanced in the hearts and minds of young children. An ice crystal is nurtured by the wind at high altitude until it transformed into a snowflake. It is constructive by nature, singular in pattern, and beautiful in design.

A small child went into the mountains and collected many snowflakes in its hands and carefully moulded them together into the shape of a ball, and then rolled it down the mountain side, did the child invent the wheel, or was it an appreciative observer, or a combination of both….
